The Role

The Executive Assistant to the Country Manager is the central hub of the USA leadership team, enabling the Country Manager to operate at their highest level while ensuring the day-to-day rhythm of the business runs seamlessly.

This role is much more than traditional executive support. It requires someone who genuinely loves retail, understands our brands and product, is trend and competitor curious, and thrives in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment. The successful candidate is proactive, highly organized and solutions-focused, anticipating needs before they arise and confidently managing competing priorities with professionalism and discretion.

This person will build trusted relationships across the USA business, Global Support Centers and the retail/bricks teams, acting as a key connector between them all. They will enable the Country Manager and Leadership Team to focus on delivering outstanding results, developing people and growing the business.

As the Country Manager regularly works across multiple time zones, flexibility is essential. This role isn't always 9–5—it requires adaptability to support changing schedules, domestic and international travel, and, where appropriate, provide support with personal and family logistics. It isn’t a desk role and moves with the CM when needed.

A strong alignment to Cotton On's culture, values and customer-first mindset is fundamental to success in this role.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic Executive Partnership
  • Act as a trusted strategic partner to the Country Manager.
  • Proactively anticipate priorities, identify risks and remove obstacles before they arise.

  • Prepare and recap agendas, briefing documents, presentations and meeting materials.
  • Ensure meetings are purposeful, well prepared and followed up with clear actions.
  • Continuously review priorities to maximize the Country Manager's effectiveness.

Travel & Executive Logistics

  • Own end-to-end domestic and international travel planning.
  • Coordinate commercial travel, private aviation, accommodation, transfers and ground transportation.
  • Develop detailed itineraries including meetings, dining reservations, sporting events and executive engagements.
  • Manage passports, visas, customs requirements and travel documentation.
  • Monitor travel in real time and proactively adapt plans as schedules change.
  • Coordinate travel for accompanying executives and family members where appropriate.
  • Prepare comprehensive travel briefing packs with schedules, contacts, destination information and meeting notes.
  • Develop strong relationships with airlines, hotels, travel providers, and concierge services to ensure seamless travel experiences.

Leadership Support

  • Coordinate Country Leadership Team meetings, strategic planning sessions and leadership off-sites.
  • Track actions, decisions and key deliverables across the leadership team.
  • Support executive visits from the Global Support Centre and international leaders.
  • Ensure exceptional execution of leadership meetings and business events.

Stakeholder Management

  • Build trusted relationships across Retail, Support Centre, Global Support Centre and key external partners.
  • Partner closely with Executive Assistants across the Group to coordinate travel, meetings and business priorities.
  • Act as a central point of coordination for the USA leadership team.
  • Represent the Executive Office with professionalism, warmth and exceptional service.

  • Maintain exceptional attention to detail in every aspect of the role.
  • Demonstrate ownership, accountability and a proactive approach.
  • Remain calm under pressure while managing multiple priorities.
  • Continuously look for opportunities to improve processes and ways of working.
  • Operate with integrity, professionalism and complete discretion.
  •

Other Requirements

  • Provide general administrative support and backup coverage for other Executive Assistants and Administrative Professionals to ensure seamless operations during planned and unplanned absences.
  • Collaborate closely with the broader administrative team to support cross-functional initiatives, office operations, and special projects as needed.

  • Minimum 5 years' experience supporting a senior executive within a global organization.
  • Proven experience managing complex international travel and executive logistics.
  • Experience supporting Executive Leadership Teams and coordinating high-level meetings.
  • Outstanding organizational and project management skills.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication.

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
