This candidate will join a well-funded, fast-growing technology startup with the unique opportunity to help build out a critical function for the company.

The Executive Assistant (EA) will provide high-level administrative and operational support to the CTO, a key member of the executive team. • Meeting & Event Coordination: Prepare, schedule, and track technology team meetings. Ensure all necessary materials and follow-ups are managed for product reviews, leadership huddles, and cross-functional initiatives.
  • Travel & Logistics: Plan and coordinate travel arrangements, itineraries, accommodations, and expense reports for the CTO. Ensure seamless execution, considering last-minute changes.
  • Project Support: Assist with special projects for technical, operational, and strategic initiatives, including gathering information, tracking milestones, and following up on deliverables with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Confidentiality & Discretion: Handle sensitive information related to technology strategy, company operations, and personnel matters with the utmost confidentiality.
  • Process Improvements: Identify and implement process improvements to streamline the CTO’s office and technology team operations.
  • Document Management: Organize, track, and file contracts, compliance forms, and other critical documents related to product, engineering, and security initiatives.
  • Talent Partnership: Partner with the Talent team on high-level hiring initiatives, including candidate communication, interview scheduling, and ensuring a seamless experience for executive-level candidates.

What we look for:

  • 3+ years of experience supporting C-level executives, ideally in a technology or high-growth SaaS environment.
  • Exceptional organization, time management, and communication skills—both verbal and written.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism.
  • Strong proficiency with Google Workspace (Gmail, Calendar, Drive), Slack, and productivity/project management tools.
  • Ability to prioritize and execute multiple tasks under pressure and within tight deadlines.
  • Proactive, resourceful, and able to anticipate the CTO’s needs.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience preferred.

Bonus:

  • Prior experience supporting technology leadership or product/engineering teams.
  • Passion for supporting executive productivity in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment.
  • Interest in learning about SaaS, technology trends, and the commercial contracting sector.

What we offer:

  • $85k - $105k base salary range + annual bonus or negotiable base salary + annual bonus
  • Generous equity grant, become an owner in our company!
  • A comprehensive benefits package
  • Flexible PTO and hybrid work schedules
  • Work from home stipend
  • Hubs in Los Angeles, Toronto, and Raleigh with hybrid work schedules and lunch provided for in-office days
  • Company events like BBQs and team-building activities, both in-person and virtual

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
