The Event Manager manages day‑to‑day planning across multiple concurrent events and works cross‑functionally with Sales, Marketing, Product, and Leadership teams to deliver consistent, engaging experiences for customers and prospects.  The Event Manager also collaborates with the Events Coordinator, providing direction and oversight across logistical planning to ensure timelines, vendors, and deliverables are executed seamlessly.

    • Exhibitor kits, contracts, and show services

    • Booth logistics, shipping, labor coordination, and installation/dismantle

    • Vendor coordination and timeline management

  • Provide oversight to ensure all logistics are planned accurately and executed on time

  • Partner with Sales to align on event objectives, messaging, and on‑site engagement strategy

  • Lead pre‑event preparation, including internal communication, expectations, and team readiness

  • Support and guide lead generation strategy, including:

    • Defining goals for booth engagement and lead capture

    • Ensuring teams are equipped with the appropriate tools and clear expectations

    • Aligning on qualification criteria and post‑event follow‑up approach

  • Oversee post‑event reporting and performance tracking, including:

    • Lead capture results and data accuracy

    • Event ROI and overall performance insights

    • Key learnings and recommendations for future events

  • Support on‑site execution for key events, ensuring smooth operations and strong brand representation

  • Contribute to the planning and execution of customer conferences, executive events, and internal programs such as Sales Kickoff as needed

  • Maintain alignment with event budgets, timelines, and company brand standards

What You Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience

  • 2–4 years of experience planning and managing events for a medium to large organization

  • Demonstrated experience coordinating trade shows, customer events, or flagship programs

  • Strong organizational skills with high attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple events simultaneously

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with experience working cross‑functionally

  • Ability to manage projects independently while collaborating effectively with stakeholders

  • Comfortable working in a fast‑paced environment with shifting priorities and deadlines

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
