Kurv is a PE-backed credit card processor helping businesses accept payments smarter and faster. With 300+ employees and growing, we move fast, work collaboratively, and are building a marketing team that matches our ambition in the market.

The Role
As Events Manager, you'll own Kurv's event program end to end. From our annual Partner Summit and industry trade shows to client dinners, webinars, and company events — you plan it, manage it, and deliver it on time and on budget. This is a high-visibility role on a collaborative marketing team where your work directly supports sales, partner engagement, and business growth.

What You'll Do

  • Manage trade show and conference participation in Kurv's core verticals (such as automotive), including booth logistics, swag, sponsorships, and marketing coordination
  • Plan and execute hosted events, including our flagship multi-day Partner Summit for ISO and agent partners (venue, agenda, exhibitors, and attendee experience), plus customer dinners and VIP events
  • Produce virtual events and webinars, including vertical-focused sessions for audiences including our ISO/Agent partners and employees, from initial setup through post-event follow-up
  • Partner with HR to support internal events, including Kurv Day, offsite meetings, and company-wide meetings both in person and virtually
  • Work with marketing and communications on event promotion, including invitations, exhibitor and sponsor asset guides, partner incentive campaigns, and post-show follow-up that turns event leads into pipeline
  • Own and maintain the annual events calendar, keeping it aligned with sales and marketing priorities
  • Track budgets, manage vendor relationships, and report on event performance and ROI
  • Manage communications for all events, including but not limited to emails, social media, and website content.

What We're Looking For

  • 5+ years of B2B event management experience
  • Proven track record managing multiple events simultaneously
  • Experience running a multi-day hosted conference, including exhibitor and sponsor management
  • Experience owning event budgets, six figures preferred
  • Experience building and managing an event registration and mobile app platform
  • Strong project management skills — you build timelines and hit them
  • Comfortable with webinar platforms such as GoToWebinar or similar tools
  • Clear, professional written and verbal communicator
  • Ability to travel for trade shows, partner events, and on-site event execution

Bonus Points

  • Background in fintech, payments, or B2B SaaS
  • Familiarity with channel or partner programs, such as ISO/agent networks
  • Experience with event registration and mobile app platforms such as Eventmobi
  • Exposure to Zoho or Salesforce

Why Kurv
We're an established, PE-backed company with the resources to do things right and the energy to move fast. You'll join a collaborative marketing team where your work is visible, your ideas are heard, and the events you run actually matter to the business. If you thrive in a high-output environment and want true ownership over a real events program, this is the role for you.

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
