JOB SUMMARY:

Kymera is undergoing a major enterprise transformation initiative to replace multiple legacy ERP systems and processes with a global ERP system and harmonized business processes. The SAP S/4HANA Workstream Lead Manufacturing role is part of Kymera’s IT Business Applications team supporting the initiative, focusing on the successful implementation of manufacturing and related financial processes in our SAP S/4HANA Public Cloud system. This role will work directly with our users within Manufacturing, Operations, Supply Chain and Finance lines of business to help plan and execute our SAP implementation and provide ongoing post-implementation support to ensure users are proficient, efficient and compliant in executing standard processes and best practices in SAP.


This impactful role directly contributes to Kymera’s scalability, growth and success by collaborating directly with our IT, Manufacturing, Supply Chain and Finance teams globally across all of Kymera’s locations to understand the current business and ensure the transition from legacy ERP systems and processes to SAP S/4HANA and globally standardized processes.


JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Learning: Develop a thorough understanding of Kymera’s manufacturing line of business, including production planning, inventory management, procurement, shop floor operations, and product costing processes.
  • Planning: Work with users and partners during the discovery, prepare and explore phases to review plans & deliverables, attend workshops, confirm processes, identify & solve gaps/issues, and finalize scope.
  • Implementation: Be responsible for construction and configuration, data migration, deployment to dev/test/prod environments, testing, user training, cutover activities, and go-live support.
  • Support/Monitoring: Support users in the operation of SAP post-implementation, perform business process health reviews, conduct process and system troubleshooting, and ensure realization of system benefits and standardization of processes.
  • Process Optimization: Understand Kymera business processes and identify opportunities for improvement and optimization using SAP S/4HANA system and AI capabilities.
  • Manufacturing: Collaborate with internal teams and plant operations to keep manufacturing-related processes aligned with the SAP system and ensure best practices are followed across make-to-order, make-to-stock, and repetitive manufacturing processes.
  • Production Planning & MRP: Support and optimize planning processes including demand planning, MRP, capacity planning, production scheduling, production order management, inventory planning, and material availability.
  • Product Costing: Collaborate with Manufacturing and Finance teams to support product costing processes and understand how manufacturing transactions impact inventory valuation, standard costing, work in process (WIP), production variances, settlement, and cost of goods sold (COGS).
  • Procure-to-pay: Collaborate with internal teams and vendors to keep procurement-related processes aligned with the SAP system and ensure best practices are followed.



REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor's degree in IT, Business Administration, Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Chain or Finance.
  • Five years or more experience in manufacturing, production planning, inventory management, or supply chain processes in a multi-national business.
  • Three years or more experience implementing manufacturing and procurement processes in SAP S/4HANA, including the Public Cloud edition.
  • Advanced level core skills with the following SAP modules: Production Planning (PP), Materials Management (MM), Inventory Management, and Manufacturing Execution processes.
  • Cross module knowledge of the following SAP modules: Finance (FI), Controlling (CO), Warehouse Management (WM), Quality Management (QM), Plant Maintenance (PM), and Fiori apps.
  • Demonstrated hands-on experience and proficiency in configuring and implementing SAP S/4HANA Public Cloud.
  • Supporting users ongoing to use, improve use and manage processes and operations with SAP.
  • Strong familiarity with manufacturing, supply chain, procurement, inventory management, and planning processes.
  • Experience supporting make-to-stock (MTS), make-to-order (MTO), repetitive manufacturing, production orders, production confirmations, goods movements, and MRP.

PREFERRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

  • S/4HANA Public Cloud Certification.
  • Working knowledge of SAP Product Costing and understanding of how manufacturing transactions impact financial results.
  • Understanding of standard cost estimates, inventory valuation, work in process (WIP), production variances, settlement, cost component structures, and cost of goods sold (COGS).
  • Experience with Event-Based Production Costing in SAP S/4HANA Public Cloud is a plus.
  • Experience in make-to-stock (MTS), make-to-order (MTO), repetitive manufacturing, production orders, MRP and both direct and indirect procurement for manufacturing.
  • Fluency in German, Portuguese, Norwegian or other languages a major plus.
  • Metal, chemical, powder metallurgy, or heavy manufacturing industry experience.
  • Experience with APIs and knowledge of Extensibility options in public cloud.
  • Works well with distributed, multicultural, multi-lingual teams.
  • Highly self-motivated and able to thrive in a fast-paced and changing environment.
  • Able to coach and mentor others.
  • Excellent relationship management, facilitation, project management, and problem-solving skills.

TRAVEL: Expected travel (international and domestic) is 30% to 60% during the initial implementation phase and 10 to 15% ongoing
