CUSTOM MILLMAN

Ganahl Lumber Co has a full Custom Mill shop on site at our Torrance location. This job will entail the stacking of lumber coming off of machines. This material will need to be packaged, tagged and banded up for delivery's. You will be responsible for all the staging of incoming material to the machine you are assigned to for the day. There will be complete training on the operational  procedures you will perform to ensure a safe working environment.  As a Ganahl  Lumber full-time employee you will qualify for medical, dental and vision benefits, including paid Holidays, Paid Time Off, Sick Pay, Bonus Plan, Employee Stock Ownership, and other benefits currently available to employees of Ganahl Lumber Company.

Duties/ Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Verify customer and order information for correctness, checking it against previously obtained information as necessary.
  • Receive and respond to customer orders as required.
  • Inspect outgoing orders for completeness.
  • Ability to meet the daily schedules on order completion.
  • Machine knowledge for both hand tools to industrial power tools.
  • Lumber knowledge for both softwoods and hardwood species.
  • Maintain a safe and clean work environment.
  • Maintain proficiency in all organizational safe working policies and practices.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
