We can Do Great Things because we have great Associates. The Ensono Core Values unify our diverse talents and are woven into how we do business, these five traits are the key to achieving our purposeHonestyReliabilityCuriosityCollaboration, and Passion

About the role and what you'll be doing: This Solutions Architect role is built for someone who knows that great deals aren’t just designed — they’re shaped!

You’ll sit at the center of Ensono’s largest, most complex pursuits, partnering closely with Sales to architect commercially viable, multi‑tower solutions that work for both the client and Ensono. This is a pre‑sales, client‑facing role with real ownership — from early qualification through close and into handoff. You’ll balance technical credibility, commercial acumen, and executive presence to help win transformational deals.

  • Lead solution architecture for large, complex, multi‑tower pursuits, acting as the overall solution owner.
  • Partner deeply with Sales to shape deals, not just support them — influencing scope, structure, pricing approach, and value.
  • Orchestrate cross‑functional teams across Sales, Consulting, Product, Finance, Legal, and Delivery to create winning solutions.
  • Lead and participate in client discovery and solutioning workshops, ensuring outcomes align to business goals and commercial realities.
  • Develop and present clear, compelling solution narratives and business cases to technical and executive audiences.
  • Help build commercial constructs and pricing models for IT outsourcing, managed services, cloud, and transformation deals.
  • Participate in deal reviews, advising senior leadership on commercial viability, risk, and competitive positioning.
  • Drive smooth post‑close transitions by supporting solution handoff, knowledge transfer, and deal documentation.
  • Create and evolve client‑facing collateral and solution assets, often building new materials from scratch.

What Sets This Role Apart
  • This is not a purely technical architect role.
  • You bring strong business and financial acumen, with the ability to apply it in complex deal environments, helping structure solutions that balance value, risk, and profitability.
  • You’ll work on high‑stakes, high‑visibility pursuits, while also flexing to support smaller deals and renewals when needed.
  • You’ll operate in a pod model (paired with another SA), aligned closely to a dedicated sales leader.

We want all new Associates to succeed in their roles at Ensono. That's why we've outlined the job requirements below. To be considered for this role, it's important that you meet all Required Qualifications.

Required Qualifications

  • Experience in a pre‑sales Solution Architect or Solution Engineer role at a Managed Services Provider with a focus on IT Services Outsourcing
  • A track record of supporting or leading large, complex IT outsourcing and managed services deals
  • Experience with public cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and hybrid solutions preferred
  • Experience across the hosting technology landscape, including compute, storage, network, security, EUC, BC/DR, DevOps, and IT governance
  • Successfully closed 10+ deals of $50M+ TCV.
  • Strong understanding of complex solution selling, including business, contractual, and financial considerations.
  • Broad technical knowledge across data center, hosting, hybrid cloud, and managed services environments.
  • Comfort working with pricing models, multi‑year constructs, and deal economics.
  • Executive‑level communication skills with the ability to influence C‑suite stakeholders.
  • Ability to thrive in fast‑paced, ambiguous environments.
  • Deep understanding of IT services outsourcing models

Attributes That Matter
  • Business- minded and outcome‑driven
  • Confident, curious, and willing to lean into big, complex problems
  • Collaborative by default — strong partner to Sales and delivery teams
  • Comfortable creating content, telling a story, and engaging directly with clients
  • Calm under pressure, even when timelines are tight and stakes are high

Travel Expectations
  • This is a client‑facing role requiring approximately 40% travel. While Ensono supports flexible and remote work, in‑person presence is critical during key pursuit and engagement phases.
Experience & Education
  • 15+ years of overall experience, with at least 10 years with an IT Outsourcing services provider and/or Cloud‑managed services environments.

  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline or equivalent experience.

  • Industry certifications and accreditations are a plus.

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
