Enterprise Sales Executive – Media & Entertainment

About GPL Technologies

GPL Technologies has spent 22 years delivering technology services and infrastructure solutions to organizations with demanding, high-performance computing needs. We design, source, support, and manage the systems that power mission-critical workflows, from data centers to specialized production environments. For the past 15 years we have provided managed services primarily to media and entertainment clients, and some of our original clients are still with us today. That record reflects the quality of our service, the strength of our team, and the trust we build over time.

With a team of 50 professionals, we are entering a new phase of growth and want to expand our footprint across the media and entertainment industry.

The Role

GPL Technologies is hiring an Enterprise Sales Executive to drive new business with major studios, VFX facilities, and the broader media and entertainment industry. You will own complex, high-value sales cycles from first conversation to signature. You will sell enterprise hardware, infrastructure, and managed services into an industry that runs on tight deadlines and heavy compute, and that can’t tolerate downtime.

What You’ll Do

  • Build and close a pipeline of six- and seven-figure deals with studios, VFX houses, and digital media operations
  • Navigate multi-stakeholder sales cycles, from post-production and pipeline engineers to CTOs and C-suite decision-makers
  • Act as a trusted advisor on workflow and infrastructure challenges in VFX rendering, storage, and content production pipelines
  • Work closely with leadership and technical teams to position solutions that meet client needs
  • Develop strategic, long-term partnerships with industry leaders
  • Represent GPL Technologies at industry events, screenings, and trade shows to build and maintain relationships

What You Bring

  • 10+ years of enterprise sales experience within the media and entertainment industry
  • Existing relationships with decision-makers at studios, VFX facilities, and post-production houses
  • A working understanding of M&E infrastructure, including render farms, storage architecture, data pipelines, and on-prem/cloud hybrid environments
  • A track record of closing complex, multi-stakeholder enterprise deals
  • A consultative selling style, and comfort acting as the technical translator between engineering teams and executive buyers
  • The ability to operate independently in an entrepreneurial environment and help shape a growing sales function

Why Join GPL Technologies

  • A 22-year-old company with an established reputation in media and entertainment
  • 15 years of managed services delivery, with high customer satisfaction and long-tenured clients
  • A team of 50 with deep technical and operational expertise
  • Support from leadership in building a scalable sales engine
  • A real opportunity to make an impact and shape our next stage of growth

If you have deep relationships in media and entertainment and know how to close complex enterprise deals, we would like to hear from you.

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
