Under the direction of the Senior Manager, Director, and Partner leading the delivery of Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) services, the Manager will be responsible for project and client management to deliver strategic and analytical ERM consulting to clients in evaluating and enhancing their risk management programs. This role involves conducting risk assessments, designing risk appetite statements, reviewing risk frameworks, and advising on corporate and board governance practices.
Essential Responsibilities:
  • Evaluate client ERM programs and provide recommendations for improvement aligned with industry regulations and best practices.
  • Conduct enterprise-wide risk assessments and facilitate risk identification workshops with client stakeholders.
  • Develop and refine risk appetite and tolerance statements tailored to organizational strategy and regulatory expectations.
  • Review and enhance risk management frameworks, policies, and procedures.
  • Advise on the alignment of internal audit practices and integration with ERM functions.
  • Support clients in compliance management, including regulatory gap assessments and control evaluations.
  • Lead or contribute to corporate governance and board-level risk oversight engagements.
  • Provide subject matter expertise to other team members in cross-functional engagements.
  • Prepare and deliver client-facing reports, presentations, and training sessions on ERM topics.

Required Qualifications:
  • 7+ years of experience in enterprise risk management, internal audit, or compliance.
  • Strong understanding of the COSO ERM framework and its practical application.
  • Experience with regulatory compliance or professional standards associated with the area of expertise (financial services industry).
  • Training, support or consulting advisory experience.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business administration, or related field; advanced degree or certification (e.g., CPA, CIA, CRMA, CRCM) preferred.

Wipfli values fair, transparent, and competitive compensation, considering each candidate's unique skills and experiences. The estimated base pay range for this role is $117,000 to $158,000, with offers typically not made at the maximum, allowing for future salary increases. The actual salary at the time of offer depends on business related factors like location, skills, experience, training/education, licensure, certifications, business needs, current associate pay, and relevant employment laws.
Individuals may be eligible for an annual discretionary bonus, subject to participation rules and based on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual and Firm performance.
