Summary/Objective

Beta Bionics, a leading MedTech company, is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented IT Intern to join our team. This internship provides an opportunity to gain practical experience in AI implementation into key business workflows, Salesforce platform development, and Tableau data visualization. The intern will contribute to projects, learn from experienced professionals, and develop skills relevant to modern enterprise technology environments. The ideal candidate will demonstrate problem-solving abilities, a passion for technology, and a desire for professional development.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

     AI Implementation into Key Business Workflows:

• Assist in the implementation of AI solutions to improve key business workflows.
• Collaborate with the team to identify opportunities for AI applications within the organization.
• Learn and apply AI and machine learning concepts to solve business problems.
• Assist in the development and testing of AI models and algorithms.
• Support the integration of AI tools with existing systems.

    Salesforce Development & Integration:

• Assist in the development and customization of Salesforce applications, including custom objects, fields, workflows, and process builders.
• Learn and implement Salesforce development best practices using Apex, Lightning Web Components, and Visualforce.
• Support the configuration and maintenance of Salesforce integrations with external systems using APIs and middleware solutions.
• Help develop and test RESTful APIs for data exchange between Salesforce and other platforms, particularly AWS services.
• Assist in implementing and maintaining security protocols, including API authentication and authorization mechanisms.

    Data Engineering & Analytics:

• Design and implement data pipelines using DataCloud and other ETL tools to support business analytics.
• Assist in data integration projects, including source system connections and data transformation workflows.
• Help maintain data quality and consistency across various data sources and destinations.
• Create and maintain Tableau dashboards to visualize the processed data and communicate insights effectively.

    General IT Support:

• Aid with general IT tasks.
• Participate in team meetings and contribute to project discussions related to data, Salesforce, Tableau, and AWS integrations.
• Document work processes and maintain accurate records.
• Remain current with emerging technologies and industry trends.

Required Education and Experience

• Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's degree program in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science, or a related field.
• Basic understanding of data engineering concepts, database systems, and AWS services.
• Familiarity with API concepts and web services, with a desire to learn Salesforce APIs.
• Basic understanding of data visualization principles
• Proficiency in at least one programming language (e.g., Python, Java, JavaScript, Apex).
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to learn and adapt to new technologies.
• A desire to develop a career in enterprise IT.

Preferred Experience and Qualifications

• Experience with the Salesforce platform.
• Experience with AWS cloud services.
• Experience with Tableau or other data visualization tools.

• This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopier, and scanners.

Physical Demands

Compensation

$20-$25 per hour
