The Impact You’ll Make in this Role
The Enterprise Architect is a key leadership role in the Global IT organization and a driver of business and technology innovation. This role facilitates Enterprise Architecture governance and partners in the modernization of the Enterprise Architecture practice and technology landscape that supports the company’s growth agenda.

The Enterprise Architect is responsible for advancing EA process maturity aligned with the TOGAF framework. This role facilitates the EA team’s activities in designing, documenting, and governing the overall IT architecture. The Architect aligns technology solutions with business strategies, drives use of TOGAF methods to create comprehensive architectural blueprints across all levels of the IT landscape, and collaborates with stakeholders to ensure solutions meet enterprise needs and objectives. The Architect also actively manages the Architecture Review Board, guiding adoption of best practices, improving conformance to standards, and partnering with teams to implement designs that are sustainable and cost-effective throughout their lifecycle.

  • Architecture Practice Expansion: Develop and maintain Solventum’s comprehensive enterprise architecture model using TOGAF framework, including business, information, application, and technology layers, encompassing both current state and future roadmap.
  • Architecture Governance: Coordinate, create, publish, and measure adoption of architectural artifacts (standards, policies, principles) across technology domains through partnership and facilitation of other Enterprise Architects, Technology Service Owners, and Engineering teams.
  • Architecture Reviews: Facilitate the Architecture Review Board and manage the pipeline of architectural reviews, ensuring a responsive process and strengthening engagement of technical teams, business leaders, and program/project managers.
  • Solution Architecture: Collaborate with business stakeholders to define and guide the architecture design of enterprise applications including SAP, CRM, MES, R&D, and Quality systems to align with strategic goals of the enterprise and to establish an integrated technology landscape.
  • Technology Lifecycle Management: Conduct research and assess new technologies for potential impact on the enterprise architecture, recommending adoption where appropriate and driving technology lifecycle management for implemented technologies.
  • Delivery Management: Manage individual architects and architecture teams in the creation and publication of detailed architectural artifacts and technical solutions, assuring on time and on budget delivery.
  • Change Management: Facilitate the transition to new architectures by identifying and coordinating change programs that address people, organization, process, and technology considerations.

Your Skills and Expertise 
To set you up for success in this role from day one, Solventum requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher AND ten (10) years of experience as an Enterprise Architect, Technical Architect, or similar role in a private, public, government or military environment

OR

  • High School Diploma/GED AND sixteen (16) years of experience as an Enterprise Architect, Technical Architect, or similar role in a private, public, government or military environment

AND

In addition to the above requirements, the following are also required:

  • Enterprise Architecture Knowledge: Expert knowledge in one or more architectural domains like business, information, application, and technology.
  • TOGAF Expertise: Deep understanding of the TOGAF framework and demonstrated experience implementing its components, methodologies, and best practices.
  • Technical Acumen: Architecture expertise in one or more technology domains such as ERP, business applications, cybersecurity, data & analytics, integration services, automation, AI, cloud-infrastructure, and end user technologies.
  • Technology Experience: Experience with one or more of the following technologies: SAP S4/Hana, Microsoft Dynamics, SalesForce.com, SAP BTP/Datasphere, Mulesoft, Snowflake, AWS & Azure Cloud, Z-Scaler, ServiceNow, Microsoft 365 & Power Platform.
  • Delivery and Team Management: Expertise in agile and/or waterfall project management disciplines and tools with demonstrated experience managing personnel, teams, and work delivery.

Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:

  • Written and verbal communication skills and ability to convey complex technical concepts to diverse audiences. 
  • Problem solving and analytical abilities to assess current IT landscape, identify gaps, and develop optimal solutions. 
  • Leadership Skills - ability to influence decision-making and guide teams towards achieving architectural goals. 
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
  • Problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., TOGAF, Zachman) are a plus.

Travel: May include up to 15%

Applicable to US Applicants Only:The expected compensation range for this position is $207,348 - $253,425, which includes base pay plus variable incentive pay, if eligible. This range represents a good faith estimate for this position. The specific compensation offered to a candidate may vary based on factors including, but not limited to, the candidate’s relevant knowledge, training, skills, work location, and/or experience. In addition, this position may be eligible for a range of benefits (e.g., Medical, Dental & Vision, Health Savings Accounts, Health Care & Dependent Care Flexible Spending Accounts, Disability Benefits, Life Insurance, Voluntary Benefits, Paid Absences and Retirement Benefits, etc.).
