About the Role
As the Engineering Manager, you will oversee the core products that made us the number 1 recommendation to new parents! You'll be dedicated to nurturing our cornerstone offerings, making sure they stay reliable and high-quality so we can continue to scale alongside the community we serve. You will bridge the gap between high-level business objectives and technical execution, transforming our core product strategy into a clear, actionable roadmap. You will lead and mentor a high-performing team of engineers, fostering their professional growth and alignment, as well as working cross-functionally with all teams at Huckleberry that help us execute on our mission of helping every family thrive.
Areas of Responsibility

- Strategic Roadmap Execution: Translate business goals into technical milestones. You will be responsible for the "how" and the "when," ensuring the team delivers high-quality features on schedule.
- Quality & Bug Resilience: Develop and implement a comprehensive strategy for bug management. This includes rapid-response workflows and proactive architectural shifts to reduce technical debt and prevent bugs at the source.
- AI Integration (Agentic Workflows): Lead the charge in optimizing our development lifecycle using AI. You will be expected to embed agentic AI tools for product building, automated testing, accelerated build times, and enhanced code quality.
- Global Team Leadership: Manage and mentor a high-performing team, including an offshore engineering contingent. You will be responsible for setting the cultural and professional bar for the team.
- Process Optimization: Design and implement engineering workflows that balance speed with stability.

- Proven experience embedding agentic AI into the SDLC, measurably improving engineering velocity and code reliability.
- Exceptional communication skills, specifically in managing stakeholders and distributed teams.
- Strong cross-functional collaboration skills with a proven track record collaborating closely with Product Managers to translate business goals into technical milestones, actionable roadmaps, and exceptional execution.
