About Moon

Moon is an ambitious, independent vertical SaaS company incubated by Home Organizers, a market leader with decades of proven success in home organization through its subsidiaries, including Closet World, Closets by Design, and Brio Water Technology. Born inside one of the industry's largest operators — 6,000+ employees, hundreds of thousands of new customers served annually — Moon is built on a rare advantage: we build for the home improvement industry from within it.

Our mission is to reinvent the home improvement experience end to end. From AI-driven marketing and in-home 3D design to sales, service, and operations, Moon unifies the entire customer and business journey on a single platform — supercharged by Luna, our proprietary AI engine. Where most operators stitch together disconnected tools that don't understand the homeowner, we're building the unified operating system the industry has never had. We're a rapidly growing team of committed builders, driven to reimagine how this industry sells, designs, and delivers — and to power the next generation of operators, from single-location dealers to national franchise networks.

Role Overview

You will build and lead a new engineering team responsible for Moon's designer experience module: the end-to-end selling experience used by our customers' design professionals. The platform is .NET with a modern web front-end, and your team ships continuously. You will work directly with product and customers to own the module's success metrics, and deliver them through disciplined, continuous iteration.

About the role

You will join to build and lead a new team: hiring senior, detail-driven engineers, making them productive quickly, and delivering outcomes with clear business impact.

What you'll do

Hire a senior, detail-driven team and make it productive within a quarter.

Own the module across the stack: .NET services and a modern TypeScript front-end.

Work with product to own the module's success metrics; ensure they are delivered by iterating the application, working directly with product and the professionals who use it.

Ship continuously behind feature flags with disciplined, progressive rollouts and a high quality bar.

Deliver tablet-first UX quality worthy of a sales tool used in front of customers.

Qualifications

8+ years of engineering including building a team from zero that shipped fast.

Production .NET experience and modern web front-ends; cross-platform or mobile delivery experience strongly preferred.

Has operated continuous delivery with progressive rollout and feature flags.

Player-coach; metric-driven delivery; fast pace with discipline.

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
