We’re looking for a Wireless Quality Engineer to join Snap Inc! As a member of the Spectacles QA team, you will be a quality champion. An excellent candidate will have a passion for quality and enjoy breaking things through creative testing. You will thrive in uncertain, early prototype stages of a project when not all features are implemented and enjoy putting energy into identifying and classifying issues as a way to improve quality. Working from our Los Angeles headquarters, you’ll collaborate with Software and Hardware Engineers, Product Managers, Program Managers, and Tools teams to innovate, explore and incorporate continuous improvement of testing methodologies.
What you’ll do:
Create and execute Functional, Performance and Stability testing for WiFi and Bluetooth
Design and implement innovative ideas that solve automation and execution problems.
Collaborate comfortably with cross-functional teams
Support development in debugging and reproducing issues
Communicate effectively and drive multiple projects across several cross-functional teams
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in CS or relevant field or equivalent work experience
Experience writing test automation using scripting languages such as Perl, Tcl, and Shell
Extensive experience with WiFi and/or BT protocols
Experience using JIRA, TestRail, GIT
Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
Preferred Qualifications:
5+ years of hands-on experience with manual and/or automated testing of embedded devices is desired
Good understanding of hardware/software interoperability in an embedded system
Experience working with and testing IOT devices running embedded Linux or Android
Knowledge of test data analysis, statistics, and test reports
