Software Engineer, Operations

We are looking for an experienced Software Engineer to join our Customer Operations organization. As a member of our Shared Services team, you will be responsible for building, maintaining, and enhancing the internal systems and tools that our Operations and Sales teams rely on to help resolve issues for our community and advertisers. You will be a key contributor in helping us build intelligent and efficient software to ensure that our customers have the best possible experiences on Snapchat.
What you’ll do:
- Deliver robust and scalable technical solutions for Snapchat employees around the world
- Investigate and implement solutions with languages such as JavaScript, React, Python, and SQL
- Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders spanning our commercial and operational functions
- Work directly with peer engineering and product teams to build internal tools, and integrate support functionality into customer-facing products
Minimum qualifications:
- BS/BA in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent degree and experience)
- 3+ years of experience in software development
- Experience with JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and other front-end technologies
- Experience with SQL
Preferred qualifications:
- Great communication skills, both written and verbal
- Comfort building across the stack in Python or Java
- Experience with any of the following modern web frameworks: React, Angular, Vue, or Ember
- Experience with ES6
- Experience developing support tools, e.g., CMS, help centers, and third-party API integrations (Zendesk, etc.)
- Experience developing software systems of medium-to-large scope and complexity
