Senior PCB Designer/CAD Engineer

We’re looking for a Senior PCB Designer/CAD Engineer to join Team Snap! Working from our Venice, CA headquarters, you’ll join the Snaplab Hardware Engineering group responsible for using skills and expertise to produce complex leading edge printed circuit board designs.
What you’ll do:
- Will work with electrical, mechanical, and manufacturing engineers to produce industry leading printed circuit board designs from prototype to mass production using Allegro PCB Designer
- Design high density printed circuit boards and flexible printed circuit boards requiring the use of stacked microvias, sequential lamination stack-ups, and fine pitch packages
- Create fabrication and assembly drawings
- Define design rules, apply them to constraint manager, design within limits, and verify design prior to fabrication and assembly
- Interact with suppliers on stackups, capabilities, and solving engineering issues
- Drive the development of multiple PCB designs simultaneously and prioritize time accordingly
- Review Gerber and ODB++ data to ensure quality of design release
- Work on challenging projects with critical deadlines
What we’re looking for:
- 8+ years PCB layout experience
- Strong skills in designing quality multi-layer, high density designs with careful consideration of analog, rf, high speed, and power circuits
- Experience routing impedance controlled nets, including differential pairs, per engineer’s instructions and component specifications
- Understanding of IPC, Design for Manufacturability (DFM), Design for Assembly (DFA), and Design for Testability (DFT)
- Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills for presenting design reviews; interacting with engineering teams, vendors, and suppliers; and enhancing documentation of design guidelines and processes
- Experience with Cadence Allegro, ORCAD Capture and CIS/CIP toolset experience preferred
- Strong work ethic and team player with good communication and time management skills with ability to work effectively with others
- PCB ECAD Library and Library Configuration Management experience a plus
- Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively
- Associates or Bachelor Degree preferred
- Experience with CAM350 or Valor preferred
- IPC CID, CIP+ Certification preferred
