Quality Assurance Engineer

We’re looking for a Quality Assurance Engineer to join Snap Inc! As a member of the Quality Assurance team, you will own end to end testing of key Snap features. Working from our Los Angeles headquarters, you'll strategically work with our QA team to offer the best coverage while also maintaining close relationships with your Software Engineers, Product Managers, Program Managers, Release Engineers, Customer Support, and Tools teams.
What you’ll do:
Drive the technical and organizational testing roadmap for the team
Collaborate with Product and Engineering teams distributed across multiple locations
Implement and enhance QA methodologies to ensure delivery of predictable, high-quality product releases.
Guide the design and development of testing strategy strategies based on project requirements
Gather, analyze and report team and quality metrics which demonstrate business value and show continuous improvement
Creatively solve technical QA challenges with your team
Influence key Go/No Go decisions on product readiness
Drive effective and timely execution of test cases through tools, automation and creativity
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Knowledge of applications built in Java, JavaScript and TypeScript
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Extensive automation experience
Ability to isolate defects effectively, as well as provide specific conditions for reproducibility
Someone who can work with stakeholders to develop appropriate testing methodologies
Hands-on experience testing applications for a variety of smartphones and tablets
Minimum Qualifications:
BS/BA degree or equivalent years of experience
Experience with agile test tools and methodologies
5+ years industry experience
Preferred Qualifications:
Loves to learn, and is passionate about helping others
Experience working with distributed systems
Experience testing mobile applications on iOS and Android devices
Experience with agile test tools and methodologies
Knowledge of photo/video technologies
