Engineering Manager, User Safety
We’re looking for an Engineering Manager, User Safety to join Snap Inc! This role with involve continuing to build out and lead the team, developing software and services at scale to keep our users safe, our platform free of abuse, and to ensure the voice of the customer is heard in the engineering organization. Working from our Los Angeles, CA headquarters, you’ll collaborate with other teams in Information Security, and our partners in Trust and Safety, to help keep our platform a safe and respectful place for our users.
What you’ll do:
Build and run company-wide infrastructure and other tools
Deploy, monitor and troubleshoot these services
Collaborate with other teams to ensure that our products can be operated in a safe manner
Manage and mentor a team of great people in a fast-paced, quick-to-market environment
Minimum qualifications:
5+ years of experience engineering large-scale web applications
2+ years managing people and teams of software engineers
Preferred qualifications:
Experience with spam and abuse, content moderation, or customer operations organizations
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with high attention to detail
Strong experience working with Trust & Safety / Customer support organizations at scale
Ability to prioritize tasks and work independently
Experience collaborating with internal and external stakeholders at all levels of a company
