SUMMARY
The Energy Origination Associate will support the senior origination team by qualifying leads, maintaining Salesforce data integrity, developing high-impact presentations, managing deal execution logistics, and ensuring the team’s ability to scale its offerings effectively. This role is designed for a highly motivated candidate with 1-2+ years of experience supporting an Energy Origination or with a strong interest in international electricity markets and data analytics.
This position provides hands-on exposure to commercial energy markets, transaction structures, and client engagement, offering a strong development path.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Deal Sourcing & Lead Qualification
- Screen, qualify, and prioritize incoming leads to assess commercial viability and strategic fit.
- Conduct preliminary market research and customer profiling to support origination strategy.
- Track and update lead status, ensuring clear handoff to senior originators for active pursuit.
Deal Administration & Salesforce Management
- Enter, monitor, and maintain deal pipeline information in Salesforce with high accuracy.
- Prepare pipeline reports, dashboards, and activity logs for the origination and executive teams.
- Ensure all deal documentation, approvals, and compliance requirements are properly uploaded and tracked.
Presentation Development & Senior Leadership Exposure
- Create polished PowerPoint presentations for internal and external stakeholders, highlighting deal opportunities, pipeline trends, and strategic insights.
- Collaborate with senior originators to prepare executive-level briefing materials.
- Present analysis and findings to senior leadership as part of team discussions and deal reviews.
Team Support & Coordination
- Assist in preparing client proposals, term sheets, and supporting materials.
- Coordinate internal reviews across commercial, risk, legal, and operations teams.
- Serve as a central point for administrative support in the deal lifecycle.

Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of relevant professional experience within the energy industry supporting originations.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Engineering or related field.
Skills:
- Some degree of knowledge of power markets,
- Some experience with wholesale power, generation and load interconnections, and power and natural gas contracts is a plus.
Robust analytical skills and high level of attention to detail.
- Strong communication, networking, organization and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently and with a team.
- Demonstrated ability to perform under significant time and pressure conditions.
- Advanced PowerPoint skills with a track record of building executive-ready presentations.
- Prior experience presenting findings to senior leaders or clients.
- Familiarity with CRM systems (Salesforce strongly preferred).
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, reporting tools, and data visualization.
