We are looking for you to join our team as an EMI/EMC Test Engineer T3 in Woodland Hills, CA. In this role, you’ll work in a friendly, collaborative lab environment where engineers and technicians partner closely to plan, execute, and troubleshoot EMI/EMC test campaigns. What You’ll Get to Do
This is a mid-level position for an electrical/EMI engineer with basic EMI/EMC testing skills and a strong interest in growing in the field. The selected candidate will:
- Work as part of a team of engineers and technicians to plan, set up, and execute EMI/EMC tests at the equipment and subsystem level in accordance with company and customer requirements.
- Configure test setups and instrumentation in EMI chambers, shielded rooms, and bench test environments, always with a focus on safety, quality, and collaboration.
- Operate oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, RF preamplifiers, LISNs, transient generators, antennas, and other EMI test equipment needed to run test campaigns.
- Develop, follow, and help refine EMI/EMC test procedures, test configurations, and test reports under guidance from senior engineers.
- Apply and interpret EMI/EMC standards such as MIL‑STD‑461 and DO‑160 to support test execution and basic data review.
- Analyze test data to identify potential non-compliances, clearly document observations, and support root-cause analysis and troubleshooting as part of a cross-functional team.
- Participate in test readiness and lab readiness activities, supporting coordination with internal and external test facilities.
- Maintain accurate, configuration-controlled test documentation, including logs, screenshots, and formal reports for customer and internal reviews.
- Demonstrate a positive, can‑do attitude and flexibility to support extended work weeks and occasional weekend work when program schedules require it.
Basic Qualifications T3 EMI/EMC Test Engineer
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Physics, or a related STEM discipline and 5+ years of relevant experience; or
Master’s degree with 3+ years of experience. - U.S. Citizenship is required.
- Ability to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Government Secret Clearance (or active Secret clearance transferable).
- Hands-on experience with electronic hardware testing and/or EMI/EMC test environments.
- Basic working knowledge of EMI/EMC standards such as MIL‑STD‑461 and/or DO‑160 (test methods, limit lines, setups).
- Ability to operate oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, RF preamps, and other EMI test equipment following established lab procedures.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment, communicate clearly, and collaborate across disciplines.
- Willingness to support extended work weeks and occasional weekend testing based on program needs.
- Ability to work onsite full-time in Woodland Hills, CA.
