Boeing Defense, Space, & Security (BDS) is seeking Electrophysics Engineer/Scientist - (Experienced, Lead, or Senior) to join the Space Electronics One Boeing & New Business team located in El Segundo, California. You will be part of a team of Technical Experts leading supplier design engineering teams in developing and executing innovative solutions for RF Microwave units, TWTAs, Rate Sensors, Photonics, and other new and emerging technologies across multiple domains.
This position utilizes experience developing electrical, rf, and/or electro-optical units, leading multi-skilled engineering teams to execute new product designs, resolving technical issues, executing failure analyses, providing supplier technical oversight and supporting spacecraft integration and flight deployment of a variety of units. The ideal candidate will thrive at leading multi-functional teams, solving challenging problems, and learning new technologies and design approaches.
This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at the listed location.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
  • This position requires the ability to obtain a US Security Clearance for which the US Government requires US Citizenship as a condition of employment. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.
  • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering (with a focus in Electrical, Mechanical or Aeronautical), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
  • Lead, Level 4: 9+ years of related engineering experience
  • Senior, Level 5: 15+ years of related engineering experience
  • Active Tier 5/SSBI
  • Experience working with suppliers for space applications
  • Product design experience
  • Design or test experience with electronic units, RF microwave units, TWTAs, rate sensors, and/or photonic components/units
  • Project engineering, project management or integrated product team leadership experience

In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

Summary pay range Experienced, Level 3: $119,850 - $162,150
Summary pay range Lead, Leve 4: $146,200 - $197,800
Summary pay range Senior, Level 5: $176,800 - $239,200
