The Opportunity

PAE is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Electrical Engineer II to join our team in a hybrid work environment in our San Francisco office. This role is designed for an engineer with a strong technical foundation who is ready to take on more complex design responsibilities. Working under the guidance of a Lead Engineer, you will contribute to the design of electrical distribution, lighting, and power systems, while sharpening your skills in technical specifications and interdisciplinary coordination. You will play a key role in moving projects from initial design through site implementation, ensuring all deliverables meet our rigorous quality standards.

What You'll Do

  • Perform Revit/AutoCAD system engineering 
  • Design electrical distribution, lighting and power systems under the direction of a lead engineer
  • Prepare project deliverables with attention to detail
  • Understand and able to read plans and specifications, develop skills to edit/write specifications
  • Develop the ability to understand other disciplines
  • Application of building codes and electrical industry standards
  • Prepare electrical load calculations and electrical equipment selection
  • Interact with clients and other project team members
  • Support the project lead in developing opinions of probable construction costs
  • Contribute to site visits and prepare reports
  • Thorough understanding of distribution Load Flow, Short Circuit and Arc Flash Energy analysis using Easy Power
  • Implement the project quality management plan (QMP)
  • Perform other duties as assigned 
     

What You Bring

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering discipline work
  • Requires a minimum 1-2 years of Electrical E-1 or equivalent experience
  • Engineer in Training (E.I.T.) preferred 
  • Knowledge of electrical systems and engineering concepts and the ability to effectively communicate to others
  • Knowledge of project phases
  • Problem solving and analysis
  • Delegation skills
  • Organization and attention to detail
  • Microsoft Office Suite

What We Offer 

  • Hiring Base Salary Range: $96,800-$118,200 annual 
    • This position is eligible for time and a half overtime pay

The base salary is one component of PAE’s competitive compensation package for employees. We take into consideration a variety of factors including but not limited to skills, abilities, experience, education, credentials, internal equity and geographic location in determining exact salary offered. At PAE, employees are eligible for annual compensation reviews based on performance and business needs. The above range represents PAE's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting.
