Purpose

Wild Card is looking for an experienced trailer Editor to join the team.

Job Responsibilities

  • Edit a tv spot or trailer in both a supervised and unsupervised capacity
  • Work closely with Creative Directors/Producers to ensure creative vision is being achieved
  • Work closely with other production staff or vendor (motion graphics, music, voice-over, and finishing)
  • Ability to create temporary motion graphics cards as placeholder
  • Participate in brainstorming and assist in bringing creative ideas to life
  • Fulfill various deliverables in a variety of formats 
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with ability to work on several deadlines simultaneously and assist with creative deliverables in a timely and efficient manner
  • Perform other editing duties as may be assigned

Qualifications & Experience

  • 5+ years professional experience as a trailer editor 
  • Expert knowledge of Adobe Premiere Pro
  • Creative and skilled in short form storytelling, with Theatrical credits
  • Working knowledge of Adobe Photoshop and/or motion graphics is a plus
  • Firm understanding of video compression and standard codecs used for theatrical 
  • Basic understanding of theatrical deliverables and delivery methods
  • Solid understanding of quality control 
  • Experience with impactful sound design
  • Proven creative success working with creative teams and producers
  • Good understanding of best practices for storyboarding and script development
  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (written and oral) for effective interaction with all levels within the company and outside the company 
  • Ability to work efficiently in a highly demanding and time sensitive environment 
  • Strong sense of project ownership and dedication to delivering outstanding results 
  • Ability to manage a high volume of details with excellent accuracy
  • Experience editing on live sessions with clients a plus
  • Willingness to work overtime (long hours, nights, and/or weekends) as needed
