About the Position:
The Editor works collaboratively as a member of the AGBO Labs team in both creative and technical capacities.  The role services traditional editorial project needs and also embeds with Lab’s Virtual Production and Animation pipelines to ensure that story development and data management within projects are as efficient as possible.  The Editor must possess a command of a variety of NLE tools in service of both narrative content and AGBO’s Pipeline and Production teams as they develop, test and deploy tools that facilitate the company’s mission.  The role demands someone creative, shows tremendous initiative, is a good communicator, detail-oriented and willing to explore their creative and technical passions equally.

The Editor reports to the General Manager, while working directly in support of senior leadership within AGBO Labs. This role is hybrid, based in Los Angeles, CA.

Key Responsibilities:  

  • Maintain cuts of AGBO Labs projects.  Managing cuts principally in Premiere, for animated projects based in Unreal Engine .  Project types include Animation, Visualization, Motion Capture sequencing, etc.
  • QC’ing of deliverables for ongoing projects as files and cuts are shared with collaborators and clients.
  • As editor, perform tasks related to sound editing and design for PreViz and other projects.
  • Serve as Editor on non-longform AGBO editorial projects.  Projects can include commercials, marketing materials, behind-the-scenes packages, etc.
  • Creating and maintaining demo reels to document and demonstrate capabilities of the studio for internal and marketing purposes.
  • Serve as a pipeline development collaborator providing a link between tools development teams and sequence-based review methodologies.  
  • Assist in tools scripting to flesh out editorial/IO workflows that provide efficiency within the studio.
  • Maintain technical oversight over the AGBO screening room ensuring that users have what they need for purpose.


Qualifications & Skills:

  • 2-5 years of experience in a post production role, with a strong portfolio showcasing a wide range of skills. 
  • Fluency with Premiere, skills in Resolve, Avid, UE and After Effects a strong plus.
  • Familiarity with VFX and/or animation workflows preferred
  • Broad understanding of the entire post production process.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work creatively under pressure.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse creative and technical backgrounds.
  • Passion for storytelling and a keen eye for detail.


The typical base salary for this position ranges from $36.00 to $45.00 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications. Actual compensation will be determined based on a variety of factors, including skills, experience, and may vary from the stated range.
