As a Vice President, Payments Sales Manager within the Corporate Sales team, you will be responsible for growing and managing strategic Payments relationships across the eCommerce & Platforms vertical. This client base includes marketplaces, gig economy platforms, hyperscalers, social media companies, video gaming businesses, and consumer technology firms with complex, high-volume, and global payment needs.

 

In this individual contributor role, you will own a client portfolio, lead business development efforts, deepen senior client relationships, and deliver the full suite of J.P. Morgan Payments solutions, including merchant acquiring, treasury services, transactional foreign exchange, commercial card, embedded finance, and trust and safety services. You will be accountable for building pipeline momentum, achieving annual sales goals, expanding wallet share, and delivering a coordinated end-to-end client experience in partnership with teams across JPMorganChase.

 

Job Responsibilities

  • Manage and expand J.P. Morgan Payments relationships with eCommerce & Platforms clients and targeted prospects through virtual and in-person engagement.
  • Deploy needs-based and consultative selling techniques to deliver tailored Payments solutions and build sustained pipeline momentum.
  • Ensure portfolio financial integrity by driving revenue and deposit balance growth while maintaining target profitability.
  • Develop a deep understanding of clients’ business environments, operating models, and strategies to help them meet their objectives.
  • Partner closely with Corporate Banking, Product Solutions, Product Management, Client Service, Onboarding/Implementation, and Advisory colleagues to deliver a coordinated client experience.
  • Engage offshore Subsidiary Bankers and Payments Sales Managers to advance global opportunities and support multinational client needs.
  • Maintain strong familiarity with the competitive landscape and effectively position J.P. Morgan Payments solutions.
  • Write proposals and develop client presentations, both proactively and in response to RFIs and RFPs.
  • Share client knowledge and insights across internal coverage teams to maintain alignment and coordination.
  • Develop and refine portfolio strategy through account planning and wallet share analysis.
  • Cultivate Payments Sales Associates and Payments Client Managers through coaching, partnership, and ongoing collaboration.

 

Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills

  • 5+ years of experience in transaction banking sales, payments sales, treasury services, or a related client-facing financial services role.
  • Deep knowledge of the payments ecosystem, including core cash management, liquidity management, merchant acquiring, commercial card, transactional foreign exchange, and trade solutions.
  • Strong ability to cultivate senior and executive-level client relationships.
  • Familiarity with working capital dynamics.
  • Familiarity with marketplace payments.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, presentation, and relationship management skills.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or a relevant field.

 

Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills

  • Experience working with technology companies, particularly within eCommerce, platforms, marketplaces, digital-native, or consumer technology sectors.
  • CTP and/or CertICM credentials preferred.
