What you’ll do
  • 25% — Build and maintain trusted partnerships with external client stakeholders and hiring managers, ensuring alignment on hiring needs, timelines, and candidate profiles.
  • 30% — Serve as a liaison between external accounts and internal teams by setting clear expectations, managing communications, and driving accountability throughout the recruiting lifecycle.

Required Skills & Background:
  • 10+ years of full-cycle recruiting experience, including a minimum of 3+ years in agency-style environments with full ownership of sourcing, stakeholder alignment, and closing. You’ve successfully hired across a range of functions — from deeply technical roles like software engineers, data scientists, and infrastructure specialists, to business-critical positions in GTM, operations, and leadership. A strong technical background is highly valued, as it enables you to partner credibly with hiring teams and assess candidates beyond surface-level qualifications.
  • 5+ years of experience in external stakeholder management, including client-facing communication and expectation-setting — often partnering directly with C-suite executives (e.g., CEO, CRO, CTO) depending on the scope and structure of your book of business.
  • 4+ years of demonstrated ownership in shaping recruiting tools and workflows, including providing strategic, actionable feedback to product teams. You’ll play a key role in influencing the direction of an ever-evolving recruiting product, ensuring it aligns with real-world recruiter needs and drives operational excellence.
  • 5+ years of highly organized process building experience. You’ll play a key role in shaping recruiting operations from the ground up — building scalable, efficient workflows in a fast-paced, startup environment where adaptability and initiative are essential.

You Are:

  • A strategic operator who excels in high-stakes, client-facing environments. You’ve led complex recruiting initiatives, managed executive-level relationships, and consistently delivered results in fast-paced, agency-style settings.
  • A product-minded problem-solver who doesn’t just adapt to change — you drive it. You bring a track record of improving recruiting outcomes and influencing product direction through data-backed insights and experimentation.
  • A systems thinker with precision execution, capable of building scalable processes from scratch while staying responsive to shifting client and business priorities. You thrive in ambiguity and know how to turn chaos into clarity.
  • An influential communicator and advisor, trusted by internal stakeholders and external clients — including C-suite leaders — to guide decisions, set expectations, and drive alignment across teams.

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
