Chrysalis Records/Blue Raincoat Music is a leading independent music company headquartered in London and New York. Along with our US partner Reservoir Media, we own the legendary Chrysalis and Tommy Boy catalogues, and we also represent artists through our management arm Blue Raincoat Artists, and publishing via Blue Raincoat Music Publishing.

The Position

We are seeking a Strategic Digital Marketing Director to join our Los Angeles-based team. This role will be a pivotal member of our management team, you will spearhead the development and execution of digital marketing strategies to elevate our artists and their music across online platforms, liaise with DSP partners and navigate artist’s social media as necessary. The role includes, but is not limited to, the following responsibilities.

  • Develop and execute compelling digital strategies to amplify artist stories and grow their audiences.

  • Collaborate closely with artists, managers, and labels to ensure cohesive marketing campaigns.

  • Coordinate with promoters, live agents, and ticket companies to optimize tour announcements and ticket sales.

  • Conduct regular digital audits to evaluate streaming and social media performance.

  • Support campaigns, including innovative advertising and social media initiatives, alongside fostering strategic partnerships.

  • Work directly with DSP partners on all campaigns.

  • Ideate and spearhead email campaigns.

  • Facilitate interaction and collaboration amongst fans.

  • Oversee the build, maintenance, and optimization of artist websites.

Qualifications

  • Significant experience in digital marketing within the music, entertainment, or media industries at a senior level.

  • Proven track record of developing and delivering successful digital campaigns for artists, releases, and tours.

  • Strong understanding and relationships with DSP’s including Spotify, Apple Music, Amazon Music, YouTube, TikTok, Meta, and emerging digital platforms.

  • Deep knowledge of audience development, fan engagement, CRM strategy, and social media growth.

  • Demonstrable experience managing artist and release campaigns across paid media, social platforms, email marketing, website ecosystems and coding.

  • Strong analytical skills with experience interpreting streaming, social, and audience data to inform strategy and reporting.

  • Experience coordinating cross-functional campaigns with artist managers, labels, PR teams, live agents, promoters, and external partners.

  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to confidently work with artists and senior industry executives.

  • Proficiency in relevant digital tools and platforms including Meta Ads Manager, Google Analytics, email marketing platforms, CMS systems, and social analytics tools.
