What We’re Looking For

Breezeway is hiring a Director of Sales, West to own and scale our West and Central sales organization. You'll be stepping into an established team of 4–5 Account Executives and taking full accountability for revenue performance across the West and Central regions.

This is a hands-on leadership role. The ideal candidate is a high-performing SaaS sales leader ready to step into full ownership of a revenue number — someone equally comfortable coaching reps, running deals, forecasting the business, and building the foundation for the next stage of sales leadership as the team scales. Candidates should be based in the Central or West time zones to align with their team and customers.

What You’ll Do
  • Own and deliver West and Central revenue targets, consistently meeting or exceeding monthly, quarterly, and annual goals across a team of 3–5 AEs.
  • Lead, coach, and develop Account Executives, setting clear performance expectations, running consistent coaching rhythms, and building repeatable paths to success.
  • Stay hands-on in the business, including:
    • Running weekly deal, pipeline, and forecast reviews
    • Partnering with AEs on late-stage deals, pricing, and negotiations
    • Joining customer calls and executive-level conversations as needed
  • Drive execution across the full sales cycle, primarily in a high-velocity SMB motion.
  • Translate company revenue goals into execution, including territory design, quota allocation, and segment-specific operating plans for West and Central markets.
  • Partner closely with Marketing, RevOps, Customer Success, and Product to improve pipeline quality, conversion rates, onboarding readiness, and forecast accuracy.
  • Continuously evaluate and improve sales process and pipeline health, using data to identify gaps, course-correct quickly, and drive predictable performance.
  • Hire, onboard, and ramp top sales talent, working closely with the People team as the organization scales.
  • Build a high-performance sales culture rooted in accountability, trust, clarity, and continuous improvement.
Who You Are
  • 7–10+ years of experience in B2B SaaS sales, with at least 3–5 years in a sales management role
  • A people-first, performance-driven leader who enjoys coaching and developing AEs while holding a clear bar for results.
  • Comfortable operating at both the strategic and day-to-day execution levels.
  • Experienced supporting multi-stakeholder, higher-ACV SMB deals and helping reps navigate pricing and negotiation conversations.
  • Highly organized and data-driven, with strong forecasting discipline.
  • Collaborative and effective working cross-functionally.
  • Action-oriented, decisive, and focused on outcomes.
  • Motivated by growth — both for your team and for your own leadership trajectory.
  • Based in the Central or West time zone to support West and Central customers and align with your team's working hours.

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
