THE OPPORTUNITY
Silvus Technologies is seeking a proactive, growth-oriented, full-time Director of Sales for the USSOCOM (United States Special Operations Command) that will support the USSOCOM account and report to the Senior Director of Sales USA on the Sales team. This role is designed for a business creator - not just a seller. This position is responsible for driving new business, initiating strategic engagements, and generating multi-year pipeline value through direct relationships with SOCOM, PEOs, PMs, and major industry players. This is a pivotal role in shaping Silvus’ footprint within Special Operations.
This position is eligible for 100% remote work depending on location.

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Strategic Account Leadership
- Serve as the primary point of contact for USSOCOM, its component commands, and affiliated organizations.
- Own the account plan and drive multi-year engagement strategies focused on adoption, expansion, and sustainment of Silvus technology across SOCOM.
- Establish and maintain trusted relationships with senior acquisition officials, technical leads, and operational users across SOF AT&L, J6, J8, PEOs, PMs, and directorates.
- Program Alignment and Integration
- Identify enterprise-level needs or solutions that span multiple components and require headquarters-level shaping or funding.
- Pursue high-value Programs of Record, experimentation pathways, and S&T initiatives where Silvus capabilities provide differentiated value.
- Collaborate with Engineering, Capture, and Business Development staff to shape requirements and influence acquisition strategies in Silvus’ favor.
- Support white paper submissions, technical demonstrations, and capability briefs tied to near- and long-term program goals.
- Teaming & Key Account Management
- Cultivate relationships with prime contractors, OEMs, and systems integrators within the SOF ecosystem.
- Secure teaming arrangements to expand Silvus’ presence as a key technology enabler in broader platforms and mission kits.
- Operational Sales Execution
- Guide the full sales cycle: qualification, engagement, proposal support, and post-sale sustainment.
- Accurately forecast revenue and maintain CRM discipline.
- Own and achieve an annual revenue target in line with strategic goals.
- Participate in tradeshows, customer exercises, capability demonstrations, and field trials as needed.
- External Engagement
- Represent Silvus at SOF Week, NDIA SO/LIC, and other key SOCOM capability events.
- Maintain a forward presence with SOCOM innovation stakeholders (e.g., SOFWERX, SCSB, DIU).
- Travel Requirement
- Up to 50% travel, including frequent CONUS travel.
- Limited OCONUS engagements for customer meetings, events, and demonstrations.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college plus a minimum of 4 years’ relevant sales or business development experience; OR High School Diploma/GED with at least 8 years of relevant sales or business development or military experience.
- Minimum 4 years of experience in defense sales or business development, preferably within the SOF, C5ISR, or tactical communications community.
- Proven track record managing complex accounts and influencing long-term acquisition or procurement programs.
- Deep familiarity with USSOCOM’s structure, acquisition processes, and capability development lifecycle.
- Strong persuasive communication and executive briefing skills.
- NOTE - Must be a U.S. Citizen due to clients under U.S. government contracts.
- US Government clearance at SECRET level; OR the ability to obtain a SECRET US Government security clearance within 12 months of start date.
PREFERRED KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES
- Prior SOF military service or direct support to USSOCOM.
- Experience with MANET/MIMO systems, tactical radios, enterprise IT systems, and EW/SIGINT solutions.
- Strong network across SOF AT&L, PEO TIS, PEO SOF Warrior, PEO SOF Digital Applications, and SOF component commands.
- Understanding of DoD budget cycles, funding streams (“color-of-money”), and programmatic timelines.
- Current active US Government clearance at SECRET level.
WORKING CONDITIONS & PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Office environment.
- Trade shows.
- Outdoor environment for demonstrations.
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to do the following:
- Lift equipment up to 40 lbs. for the set-up of demonstrations and testing.
- Walking/Moving in the labs.
NOTE - Compensation Pay Range below includes $115,000 - $145,000 annual base salary PLUS commission and performance bonuses. OTE potential $200k - $300k.

The pay range is NOT a guarantee. It is based on market research and peer data, and will vary depending on the candidate’s experience and qualifications.
NOTE - As a U.S. Federal Contractor, Silvus Technologies requires that ALL candidates being considered for employment for any position (regardless of level) MUST be a U.S. Person (permanent resident or citizen). Stricter U.S. Citizen ONLY requirements are needed for some Engineering or R&D roles.
