We exist for workers and their employers -- who are the backbone of our economy.  That is where Centivo comes in -- our mission is to bring affordable, high-quality healthcare to the millions who struggle to pay their healthcare bills.

We are looking for a Director of Product Marketing to join our team and play a key role in shaping our product marketing function and accelerating our enterprise growth efforts.
This is a highly strategic and visible role, partnering closely with Marketing, Sales, Revenue Operations, Product, Actuarial, and other marketing functions to develop positioning and messaging, sales enablement content, product packaging and pricing, and product launch planning and execution.
We are looking for candidates with B2B2C product marketing experience, with a deep understanding of the employer health benefits market, particularly from the broker/consultants' perspective, and a passion for innovation in healthcare.

Responsibilities:
  • Product Marketing Strategy & Leadership: Play a lead role in shaping Centivo's product marketing function.

  • Customer Research & Persona Development Develop a deep understanding of our audiences, including their needs, goals and challenges, and translate these into actionable insights to improve marketing effectiveness and product development.

  • Positioning & Messaging Develop value propositions that resonate with our audiences by clearly describing how our products and services solve their challenges, highlighting features and benefits that are differentiating in the market.

  • Competitive Landscape Intelligence Understand the competitive landscape and enable our Sales team to communicate how our product is better positioned to solve our customers' challenges than competitors' products.

  • Sales Enablement Develop sales decks, product demos and collateral (e.g., case studies, sell sheets) that enable Sales to clearly communicate how our product solves our customers' challenges, close deals faster and improve conversion rates.

  • Product Packaging & Pricing Create product packages and pricing aligned to audiences, considering their needs and competitor pricing to close deals faster and improve conversion rates.

  • Partner Marketing Create co-marketing partnership opportunities that also serve our audience.

  • Product Launch Planning & Execution Manage product launch efforts in collaboration with Product and other marketing teams, determining appropriate launch strategy and plan for each product release/feature, in the context of broader product positioning and messaging narrative.

  • GTM Retrospectives Design and deliver quarterly and annual GTM retrospectives based on closed/won analysis and interviews, internal surveys, and demand gen programs/campaign learnings.

  • Marketing Influence Collaborate with the rest of the marketing teams to develop content and campaigns with messaging that resonates with our audiences.

Qualifications:

Required Skills and Abilities

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in employer health benefits product marketing. With experience in both B2B and direct to broker/consultant

  • Exceptional written, verbal, and visual communication abilities across various mediums and assets used in the sales and marketing processes

  • Demonstrated track record of driving growth results with strategic, data-driven insights, collaboration, and influence

  • Well versed in macro healthcare trends and how they impact the employer market

  • A self-starter with a demonstrated track record in solving problems, generating new ideas, and driving results in fast-moving, growth-oriented environments

Centivo Values:
  • Resilient – This is wicked hard. There is no easy button for healthcare affordability. Luckily, the mission makes it worth it and sustains us when things are tough. Being resilient ensures we don’t give up.

  • Uncommon - The status quo stinks so we had to go out and build something better. We know the healthcare system. It isn't working for members, employers, and providers. So we're building it from scratch, from the ground up. Our focus is on making things better for them while also improving clinical results - which is bold and uncommon.

  • Positive – We care about each other. It takes energy to do hard stuff, build something better and to be resilient and unconventional while doing it. Because of that, we make sure we give kudos freely and feedback with care. When our tank gets low, a team member is there to be a source of new energy. We celebrate together. We are supportive, generous, humble, and positive.

Who we are:

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
