What You’ll Be Doing
Having grown substantially in the last two years with no sign of slowing down, we are looking for a talented and driven Director of Product Marketing to lead and execute our go-to-market and digital strategies, and collaborate with product, sales, and marketing teams to enhance business results and adoption. The role demands a strong understanding of consumer needs and effective communication of BeatStars’ unique value proposition.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the development and execution of comprehensive digital and go-to-market strategies to acquire and engage users across various marketing channels, including social media, organic channels, email marketing, and partnerships.
- Develop go-to-market strategies that align with business objectives and target market segments.
- Lead the planning, execution, and optimization of integrated marketing campaigns across all channels.
- Guide social media and influencer marketing strategies to enhance brand visibility, engagement, and community-building
- Own and build growth marketing strategies across the full customer lifecycle, driving a profitable top-line impact at the Corporate level (channels include SEM, ASO, ASA, Email, Push, influencer, affiliate, organic, and paid social)
- Oversee the development and maintenance of BeatStars’ brand identity, ensuring consistency across all touchpoints and communications.
- Drive brand awareness and thought leadership through thoughtfully curated content and industry partnerships.
- Lead the community engagement, events, brand, and marketing team members to successfully execute the BeatStars vision and mission.
- Manage 3rd-party marketing agency.
- Utilize data analytics and KPI tracking to identify growth opportunities, analyze user behavior, and recommend data-driven optimizations to drive continuous improvement.
- Mentor and manage the product and digital marketing team, setting clear objectives and guiding them to achieve performance goals. Foster a collaborative and innovative team culture.
- Oversee user acquisition efforts, implementing strategies to expand our user base while improving user retention and customer lifetime value (CLV).
- Encourage a culture of experimentation and innovation within the digital marketing team, testing new ideas and strategies to stay ahead of the competition.
- Collaborate with finance to optimize marketing budgets, ensuring efficient allocation of resources to maximize ROI.
- Work closely with product, creator success, and the rest of the marketing team to align growth strategies with overall business objectives and product enhancements.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and best practices in product and digital marketing, bringing innovative ideas and insights to propel BeatStars' growth
What you will need:
- Proven experience (5+ years) in growth marketing, product marketing, digital marketing, or a similar role, preferably in the tech, music, or entertainment industry.
- Passionate about understanding independent artists and creators' needs through developing compelling storytelling and messaging.
- Demonstrated success in driving user acquisition and revenue growth through strategic marketing initiatives.
- Expert on the segmentation for the BeatStars organization, building a deep understanding of the customer's needs and pain points, key personas, and the makeup of the buying committee, tracking market and competitive trends, defining our ideal customer profile, and developing TAM/SAM.
- Capable of executing a GTM strategy that translates positioning and messaging frameworks into thoughtful GTM plans, including identifying key growth levers needed to meet targets, defining prioritized target audiences and value propositions, and developing sales plays and marketing programs, in partnership with sales and marketing leadership.
- Strong analytical skills, with experience in data analysis and KPI tracking. Proficiency in marketing analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, social media analytics) is essential.
- Leadership and Team Management: Proven ability to lead and inspire a team, fostering collaboration, innovation, and growth.
- A strategic mindset with the ability to translate data insights into actionable marketing strategies.
- Budget Management: Experience in managing marketing budgets and optimizing resource allocation.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex concepts to diverse stakeholders.
- Passion for music and the creative industry, with a deep understanding of the evolving music landscape.

Compensation:
This salary/OTE range represents the low, middle, and high end of the salary or OTE (Sales roles only) range for this position, and is subject to change. To determine starting pay we carefully consider a variety of factors, including primary work location and an evaluation of a candidate’s skills, experience, market demands, and internal parity. Salary/OTE is just one component of our total rewards package. All regular employees are also eligible for additional benefits and perks BeatStars has to offer.
Preferred locations to hire are in the United States. This is a US-based role only. No other locations will be considered at this time. The remote salary range for this role is as follows: $180,000-$232,000 USD
BeatStars is a globally distributed team. To support collaboration across regions, we operate with core working hours designed to ensure meaningful overlap across teams:
Core Working Hours by Location:
- PT (US): 7:00 AM – 11:00 AM
- CT (US): 9:00 AM – 1:00 PM
- ET (US): 10:00 AM – 2:00 PM
- GMT+1 (UK & Portugal): 3:00 PM – 7:00 PM
- GMT-3 (Brazil): 11:00 AM – 3:00 PM
- GMT+2 (South Africa & Germany): 4:00 PM – 8:00 PM
While we generally have the flexibility to build an 8-hour work day, we ask for flexibility during core hours, as from time to time, it may be needed to attend global calls that cover more than 2 time zones during these hours. We ask folks to schedule events when possible, at least 3 working days in advance.
