Ancestry is seeking a bold, customer-obsessed Director of Product Management to define and lead the next generation of our DNA product portfolio. As the leader of this team you will report directly to our Vice President of Product Management and drive innovation at the intersection of genomics, science, and technology to help millions of people discover more about who they are and where they come from. This is your opportunity to scale a category-defining product used by over 30 million people to deliver deep insights and personal discoveries.

Define the future of consumer genomics at a time of rapid innovation and opportunity. With generative AI, international expansion, and rich cross-product integrations ahead, you will lead the strategy and team for the world's leading consumer DNA product. You will collaborate with world-class science and engineering teams to build meaningful, responsible, and scalable DNA experiences. With access to 30M+ DNA kits, 60B+ historical records, and 140M+ family trees, you’ll shape how customers explore their family history in new and life-changing ways.

What you will do...

  • Own and define the end-to-end vision and strategy for Ancestry's DNA product portfolio.

  • Lead a high-performing team of product managers, providing coaching, mentorship, and growth opportunities.

  • Drive development of new and existing consumer DNA features that help customers discover, preserve, and share their family stories.

  • Collaborate with world-class scientists and engineers to develop novel, scalable systems built on genomic and family history data.

  • Champion data privacy and security principles in all aspects of product development and delivery.

  • Partner cross-functionally with Marketing, Legal, CX, and Executive stakeholders to ensure successful launches and ongoing product excellence.

  • Use experimentation, A/B testing, and qualitative/quantitative insights to inform roadmap decisions and continuously improve user experience.

Who You Are...

  • A strategic, visionary product leader with 5+ years driving product strategy and at least 3+ years managing high-performing teams.

  • A strong communicator and collaborator who excels at aligning cross-functional partners and executives.

  • A passionate advocate for customers, with a history of delivering delightful, emotionally resonant product experiences.

  • Highly analytical and comfortable making product decisions with both qualitative and quantitative data.

  • Experienced with agile development, rapid iteration, and complex system design.

As a signatory of the ParityPledge in Support of Women and the ParityPledge in Support of People of Color, Ancestry values pay transparency and pay equity. We are pleased to share the base salary range for this position: $185,310 - $231,660 with eligibility for bonus, equity and comprehensive benefits including health, dental and vision. The actual salary will vary by geographic region and job experience. We will share detailed compensation data for a specific location during the recruiting process.
