We are seeking a seasoned and hands-on Director of Operations to lead and integrate all operational support functions within a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Based in either Santa Clara, CA, this role plays a critical part in scaling operational capabilities, aligning cross-functional teams, and ensuring business continuity for both NPI and mass production programs.Key Responsibilities

Cross-Functional Operations Leadership
- Lead, manage, and align operations across the following core functional areas:
- Manufacturing & NPI (New Product Introduction)
- Industrial Engineering (IE)
- Quality Systems & Quality Assurance (QS/QA)
- Warehouse & Logistics (WH, Shipping, PMC)
- Facility and maintenance
- Cost Management & Budget Control
- Information Technology (IT)
- Human Resources (HR) & General Services (GS)
- Facility and Utilities Management (Plant Engineering / FM)
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity, reduce operational costs, and improve lead times.
- Establish and monitor KPIs for performance, quality, delivery, and cost across all managed departments.
- Facilitate cross-functional coordination for new product ramp-up and volume production stabilization.
- Ensure safe, compliant, and energy-efficient operation of all electrical and utility systems.
- Oversee facility maintenance, equipment uptime, and capex projects for site expansion or upgrades.
- Provide leadership, coaching, and performance management to departmental managers.
- Collaborate with HR to design workforce planning, employee development, and internal mobility programs.
- Ensure compliance with internal policies and customer requirements across production, quality, and facility management.
- Lead internal and external audit readiness activities.
- Partner with IT to implement smart manufacturing solutions and digital dashboards.
- Encourage data-driven decision-making and lean process optimization across all functions.
- Bachelor’s degree or above in Engineering, Operations Management, Industrial Management, or related field; Master’s degree preferred.
- 10+ years of experience in high-volume manufacturing environments, with at least 5 years in a multi-functional operational leadership role.
- Proven experience managing end-to-end factory support functions (e.g., Quality, IE, Logistics, HR, IT).
- Strong leadership, organizational, and strategic thinking skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; fluency in English required, Mandarin a plus.
- Experience in managing cross-border teams or working with international clients is highly desirable.
