This position plays a critical role in maximizing the value of FOX’s content library and current releases by expanding partnerships, identifying new distribution opportunities, and optimizing windowing strategies. In-flight entertainment will be a primary revenue driver.

A SNAPSHOT OF YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Identify, develop, and close new business opportunities across cruise lines, ships, rail, hospitality, healthcare, and educational markets
  • Develop and execute go-to-market strategies for non-theatrical windows across film and television content
  • Track account commitments, timelines, deliverables, and workflows to ensure projects are completed accurately and on schedule
  • Monitor industry trends, competitive activity, platform changes, and emerging digital business models to inform sales strategy
  • Prepare clear account updates, sales analyses, forecasts, presentations, and recommendations for internal leadership and external partners

  • Meet or exceed annual revenue targets and contribute to long-term growth planning
  • Represent FOX at key industry markets and conferences (e.g., APEX)
  • Track partner performance and identify opportunities for renewals and incremental revenue
  • Monitor industry trends, competitive landscape, and emerging out-of-home viewing platforms
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Legal, Finance, Marketing, and Operations to execute deals
  • Align with Theatrical, TV Distribution, and Digital teams on windowing, rights, and content availability

WHAT YOU WILL NEED

  • 7+ years of experience in content sales, licensing, or distribution within non-theatrical or ancillary markets, preferably at a major studio or media company
  • 2+ years of experience operating as a direct client-facing primary point of contact and managing day-to-day account activities
  • Proven track record of driving revenue growth and closing deals, particularly in in-flight entertainment and related sectors
  • Deep understanding of global content licensing, rights management, and windowing strategies
  • Strong negotiation skills and the ability to structure complex deals across international markets
  • Strategic mindset with the ability to identify and capitalize on new distribution opportunities
  • Excellent communication and relationship management skills
  • Self-starter who takes initiative, exercises sound judgment, and is comfortable managing responsibilities with limited direction
  • Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, cross-functional, global environment
  • High level of organization, attention to detail, and analytical thinking
  • Experience working with international clients and markets

NICE TO HAVE BUT NOT A DEALBREAKER

  • Strong relationships with airlines, in-flight content service providers, or non-theatrical buyers
  • Familiarity with technical delivery requirements for in-flight and non-theatrical platforms

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
