Job Summary:

The Director, National Sales will be an expert in selling Out-Of-Home media and integrated sponsorships directly to national agencies, buying services, and new or existing clients. Your work will encompass selling the Clear Channel Airports and Outdoor industry-leading portfolio of assets and capabilities. You will have the unique position of representing the largest suite of Airport assets in North America, including NY, Atlanta, Chicago, San Francisco, Washington D.C., Seattle amongst many others. This is a rare opportunity to join our National Sales team as a marketer of not only short-term campaigns, but also exclusive, multi-year partnerships in top B2B and B2C categories.

                                                                                                    

Job Responsibilities

  • Develop scalable solutions for clients to optimize their advertising expenditures and maximize the use of Clear Channel products (e.g., Primarily Airport Digital and Static assets, but also Traditional Outdoor, Commuter Rail, Programmatic DOOH, and Mobile), including innovation opportunities with Product teams.

  • Make cold calls and connect with “C” Level clients through phone, email and networking strategies.

  • Generate sufficient outreach to obtain meetings with existing and new clients every week

  • Conduct Customer Needs Assessments (CNAs) resulting in insights and opportunities that lead to proposal submission

  • Ensure customer satisfaction by facilitating all aspects of the customer's account in cooperation with Creative, Operations, Marketing and Finance staff.

  • Generate plans to define business strategies and tactics, and support clients with advertising programs deploying all our Radar suite of capabilities.

  • Exceed revenue growth targets, on an annual basis for key verticals.

  • Identify incremental opportunities for CCO within existing customers, and verticals. Grow accounts within agency assignments.

  • Identify new relationships with existing and new customers, coordinate coverage with CCO teams nationally, locally.

  • Navigating senior level client leads to secure business meetings on initiative- taking opportunities for CCO.

  • Leverage tools and resources to discover and connect with qualified prospects more effectively.

  • Utilize CRM system and manage sales pipeline to provide visibility to colleagues and management.

  • Conduct Customer Needs Assessments (CNAs) resulting in insights that lead to proposal opportunities.

  • Other projects and opportunities as assigned.

Job Qualifications

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education, training, experience, or military experience required.

Work Experience

  • Four (4) + years of progressive sales experience and success using consultative, customer needs analysis methods.

  • Media sales experience preferred.

Skills

  • Proven ability to consistently generate new business from ‘scratch’ -- identifying qualified prospects, securing meetings, conducting effective CNAs, uncovering opportunities, and shepherding them through closing and on to renewal.

  • Demonstrated track record of success selling business-to-business (B2B) products/services to enterprise marketing leaders and senior executives.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (i.e., Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint) and social media platforms.

Physical Demands

  • Employee must have the ability to sit and/or stand at a desk for a minimum of eight (8) hours a day and complete tasks requiring repetitive use of hands.

  • This job is performed in a temperature-controlled office environment.

Other Requirements

  • Able to travel outside of the office 50% of the time for client meetings, corporate meetings, and industry events.

  • Has a valid driver’s license.

The Targeted Salary Range for this position is $150,000 to $250,000 annually-Fully Commission Role.  
Hourly roles are overtime eligible; Operations roles are Productivity Pay eligible.

Ultimate compensation will be based on several factors, including relevant experience, skills, scope and responsibility of the position, as well as pursuant to salary market benchmarks. This salary range is a good-faith estimate of the salary for this position.
