About GGWP

GGWP is a venture-backed company building AI-powered systems that help games and online communities stay safe, healthy, and commercially sustainable. We work with leading studios and platforms at the intersection of trust & safety, gaming, and applied AI.

The Role

We’re looking for a senior, hands-on marketing leader to own GGWP’s external presence and revenue-adjacent marketing efforts.

This is an operator-first role. You’ll personally drive events, announcements, content, and thought leadership, while selectively leveraging agencies and contractors. Team headcount will come later as the company scales.

The role is scoped as Director of Marketing, but we’re open to:

  • Senior Managers ready to grow into the role
  • VP-level candidates willing to stay hands-on

You’ll work closely with Sales, Product, Customer Success, and the executive team. You’ll also be a core partner in shaping and evolving GGWP’s brand positioning and category narrative, in close collaboration with Product and the executive team.

ResponsibilitiesEvents & Field Marketing
  • Own conference selection and calendar (e.g., GDC, Gamescom/Devcom, and other key events)
  • Define event strategies aligned to key accounts and pipeline goals
  • Lead talks, panels, booths, meetings, and on-site content
  • Drive post-event recaps and live/social amplification
Announcements, Press & Narrative
  • Lead customer announcements and press releases as buyer proof
  • Coordinate closely with execs and internal teams on launches and messaging
Thought Leadership & Content
  • Build thought leadership across trust & safety, gaming, and AI
  • Own content marketing (blogs, guides, explainers) tied to buyer education
  • Shape timely commentary on industry and policy news
  • Secure podcasts, panels, and expert appearances
Partners, Analysts & Channels
  • Own analyst relations at a program level
  • Lead partner and co-marketing initiatives
  • Own messaging frameworks, editorial cadence, and posting workflows
  • Guide email nurture, website funnel priorities, SEO direction, and owned channels
Qualifications

Required

  • 7+ years in B2B or platform marketing (gaming, SaaS, or adjacent fields)
  • Strong operator mindset with end-to-end ownership experience
  • Excellent writing, editorial judgment, and cross-functional communication
  • Comfortable working in ambiguity

Preferred

  • Experience in gaming, trust & safety, AI, or developer ecosystems
  • Familiarity with enterprise buyers and longer sales cycles

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
