Reprise: Director of Marketing

Reprise is looking for a forward-thinking B2B marketer to head the marketing function. Reporting to the CEO.

Reprise is the category leader of the demo automation / demo environments space. AI is making products more complex, demos harder, and breaking old approaches of "build a custom sandbox" or just use production. The category is already covered by Gartner. Our customers are sales leaders in F500 to F50 enterprises who have sophisticated software products and use our platform to create demo environments for sales, marketing, and CS. Our investors are Bain Capital Ventures, ICONIQ, Accomplice and Glasswing. We were named a Top 50 Startup by Linkedin last year. You’ll work with our multi-time software founders every day.

We are change-seeking as an organization. We have aggressively used AI to change our entire build pipeline to use agent-driven recursive development cycles and we are starting to do the same on our GTM-side. You will architect the marketing redesign.

We are looking for an aggressively AI-first B2B marketer. Someone who is eager to re-envision what B2B marketing should be in an AI world. AI-first tools, processes, content, data, everything. This is an execution-and-leadership role for someone wanting to prove their vision for how B2B should be done.

Objectives

Set and hit pipeline targets in the millions per month. Own the marketing performance end-to-end across content, demand gen, ABM, events, and partnerships, converting program spend into leads efficiently.

Lead the category. Create content that continues to wow and lead our customers into the AI era of demo automation, via webinars, industry research, analyst relations, our website, and social channels.

Own the budget. Leverage our resources and work across teams to deliver impact. Your challenge is to use them for maximum impact. One carve out, you are free to take it out on the finance team via tokens, where we take an unconstrained, all you can eat approach.

Run the show. Design the program, choose the tooling and operate at all levels of marketing detail and strategy. Manage our event partners and other external support.

Qualifications

You know B2B marketing. We have a sales team that consumes pipeline. The goal posts are clear. You need familiarity with the traditional components of the B2B marketing process… so that you can then disrupt it.

Your execution is AI. You’re leveraging MCPs, building agents, churning through tokens, and have an increasingly low tolerance for manual work. You’re excited to ride the wave of AI unlocks.

You have an aesthetic. In both prose and layout, you have an individual talent for effective communication. This is the crucial foundation for AI automation because otherwise AI is scale without quality.

High wattage. Your brain is frequently three steps ahead in any conversation. As an organization we talk fast, learn fast, act fast. We bias wattage over experience, slope over intercept.

GSD. We’re a startup. Execution matters. Strategy discussions are fine but what’s even better is strategy proven by execution and data.

No jerks. We are a repeat crew. Most of us have worked with each other before, sometimes 2 or 3 times. We are direct but respectful. We believe in humor , whether dry or clownish, as a necessary aspect to everything.

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
