Position Summary

The Director, Marketing Operations will be responsible for managing enterprise operations for the companies marketing department. This role will direct and manage a team of marketing project managers and administrative professionals to ensure priorities, project pipelines, marketing requests, workflows, and all tasks related to marketing projects and activities are conducted efficiently, on deadline, and aligned with business goals and priorities. The role will also monitor, measure, and analyze the effectiveness of marketing vendors, initiatives, and programs, ensure marketing policies and procedures are documented and followed, and be responsible for upholding compliance and business requirements as a part of each marketing project.

Compensation 

This role is an exempt position with a Targeted Salary Range of $124,000 to $160,000 annually.

Compensation at Guild is influenced by a wide array of factors including but not limited to local and federal minimum wage requirements, education, level of experience, and applicant’s geographical location.

Essential Functions

  • Direct and manage the activities of the marketing operations team, including project management and administration.
  • Manage projects and pipelines to ensure timely delivery of marketing campaigns.
  • Oversee marketing project management software, marketing new hire orientation and training, and documentation of department policy, process, and procedure.
  • Continually work to simplify systems and processes, avoiding customization bloat, tech debt, and over-engineered processes.
  • Identify short- and long-term scheduling and resource needs, including development and management of annual marketing budget, resource projections, and related activities.
  • Supervise marketing administration to ensure high levels of customer service, compliance with company policies and procedures, and efficient operations.
  • Monitor, measure, and analyze the effectiveness of marketing initiatives and programs.
  • Direct the development and implementation of marketing projects in alignment with key stakeholders and senior leadership.
  • Supervise the department and provide guidance, coaching, and feedback to other marketing professionals.
  • Foster a high-performing, creative, and caring workplace culture for marketing professionals.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.   

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business administration, or equivalent experience.
  • At least 7 years of experience in a marketing operations role.
  • Demonstrated experience with agile project management principles, and project management software and systems including evaluation and improvement.
  • Experience in CRM solutions, marketing automation, and working in a digital marketing environment.
  • High proficiency in Microsoft and Salesforce software environments.
  • Experience in mortgage, real estate, or insurance preferred.
  • Proven track record of success in managing a team and driving results.
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to use data to drive decision-making.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Requirements

Physical: Work is primarily sedentary; mobility in an office setting.

Manual Dexterity:  Frequent use of computer keyboard and mouse.

Audio/Visual: Ability to accurately interpret sounds and associated meanings at a volume consistent with interpersonal conversation. Regularly required to accurately perceive, distinguish and interpret information received visually and through audio; e.g., words, numbers and other data broadcasted aloud/viewed on a screen, as well as print and other media.

Environmental:  Office environment – no substantial exposure to adverse environmental conditions.
