Our Story

TopDog Law is not your typical law firm. We're a nationally scaling personal injury firm built for impact and growth — owning the client experience end-to-end, from marketing and intake through litigation. We believe that world-class marketing, paired with exceptional legal talent and operations, creates better experiences and outcomes for clients and the business alike.

Over the past three years, we've grown 2–3x year over year, setting a new standard on the marketing side of the personal injury space and proving what's possible when strategy, speed, and execution align. Now we're applying that same discipline and innovation to firm operations, case management, and national scale — intentionally building the infrastructure, systems, and teams to grow without sacrificing quality, culture, or accountability.

We are a fully remote team that share trust, open communication, and a commitment to doing great work. If you love ownership, thrive in a fast-moving environment, and want to help build something exceptional, you'll feel right at home here.

The Opportunity

TopDog Law is one of the fastest-growing law firms in the U.S., blending cutting-edge technology, data-driven decision-making, and elite legal talent to deliver exceptional outcomes for our clients.

The Director / Senior Manager, Law Firm Analytics will help build the analytics capabilities that enable the firm to scale with greater speed, consistency, and discipline.

This is not a traditional back-office analytics leadership role.

You will sit at the intersection of business strategy, law firm operations, technology, and

data. You will work directly with senior leaders to identify the questions that matter most, build

the analytical capabilities to answer them, and ensure those insights translate into meaningful

business action.

This role is critical to our success because it:

• Directly influences client outcomes, revenue, case performance, and team efficiency

• Helps operational leaders make better, faster decisions

• Creates greater visibility into performance and emerging risks

• Enables the firm to scale while maintaining operational discipline and quality

• Builds predictive and proactive capabilities rather than relying solely on historical

reporting

• Establishes the analytics foundation needed to grow responsibly and sustainably

What You Will Own

Analytics Strategy & Leadership

• Lead the development and execution of the Law Firm Analytics roadmap, aligning analytics priorities to the firm's operational and strategic objectives

• Partner with the CEO, COO, Managing Attorneys, and other senior leaders to identify high-impact opportunities where data can improve business performance

• Establish frameworks for prioritizing analytics initiatives based on business impact, feasibility, and scalability

• Build a culture of analytical rigor, curiosity, accountability, and proactive problem-solving across the analytics team

• Define and continuously evolve the firm's approach to performance measurement, forecasting, monitoring, and decision support

• Partner closely with Data Engineering and Technology to ensure analytics capabilities are

scalable, reliable, and aligned with business needs

Team Leadership & Development

• Lead, mentor, and develop a growing team of analysts and senior analysts

• Establish clear expectations around analytical quality, business partnership, communication, and ownership

• Develop team members' ability to move beyond reporting toward insight generation, problem-solving, and strategic influence

• Create an environment where analysts proactively identify opportunities rather than simply respond to requests

• Build scalable processes for project intake, prioritization, execution, and quality assurance

Operational Analytics & Performance

• Serve as a strategic analytics partner to Law Firm Operations leadership across the full case lifecycle, from intake through pre-litigation, litigation, settlement, and resolution

• Develop frameworks for understanding attorney, case manager, team, and operational performance within individual regions

• Define, refine, and standardize KPIs that create clear accountability and measurable performance standards

• Identify bottlenecks, performance variability, capacity constraints, and structural inefficiencies

• Translate complex operational data into clear recommendations and actions for operational leaders

• Help leaders understand not only what is happening, but why it is happening and what to do about it

Strategic & Predictive Analytics

• Develop forecasting and monitoring capabilities that provide leadership with an early view of emerging opportunities and risks

• Lead the development and implementation of predictive analytics and decision-support capabilities

• Identify opportunities to use data, automation, and AI to improve operational decision-making

• Develop scenario models to support staffing, capacity planning, growth, and strategic initiatives

• Establish measurement frameworks to evaluate whether operational changes and strategic initiatives are delivering the expected impact

• Partner with Technology and Data Engineering to operationalize analytical models and insights within frontline workflows

Technical & Analytical Leadership

• Maintain sufficient technical depth to evaluate analytical approaches, data quality, modeling methodologies, and technical tradeoffs

• Guide the team in the use of SQL, Python/R, visualization, statistical analysis, predictive modeling, and modern analytics tools

• Establish standards for analytical rigor, data integrity, documentation, and reproducibility

• Leverage modern analytics and AI capabilities to improve scalability, efficiency, and insight generation

• You don't need to be the person writing every query or building every dashboard—you need to know what good looks like, ask the right questions, and help the team solve problems effectively

What You Bring

Required:

• 8+ years of experience in business analytics, strategy, data science, operations analytics,

or a related field, with demonstrated progression in scope and leadership

• Experience leading, mentoring, or managing analytics professionals

• Strong strategic and analytical problem-solving skills with the ability to navigate

• Demonstrated ability to partner with senior executives and operational leaders and

influence decisions through data

• Strong understanding of analytical methodologies, including performance measurement,

forecasting, statistical analysis, and/or predictive modeling

• Advanced SQL proficiency and strong technical fluency; hands-on Python/R experience

preferred

• Ability to translate complex analytical findings into clear business recommendations and

ability to effectively partner with Data Engineering

• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills

• Demonstrated ability to prioritize competing demands and operate effectively in a fast-

paced, high-growth environment

• High intellectual curiosity, sound judgment, and strong ownership mindset

Preferred (Nice to Have):

• Experience building or scaling an analytics organization

Experience in legal, professional services, healthcare, or other high-volume operational

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
