Director, Insights (Mixed Methods)

About the Director of Insights – Mixed Methods
As a Director of Insights, you will be responsible for leading and successfully delivering multiple research and insights engagements at a time. You will act as a thought partner to our junior to senior-level clients, crafting insights and developing actionable and provocative recommendations, while maintaining trusted relationships. You will also unlock organic growth through fostering ongoing relationships and repeat clients.
Specific research design and delivery responsibilities include, but are not limited to, methodology recommendations and engagement design, content, and questionnaire development, managing internal and external project members through the execution of data collection, field management, data processing, analysis, and reporting. This also includes working with and collaborating with internal cross-functional teams in support of executing the highest quality work.
Insights responsibilities include translating data into learnings, integrated visual stories and comprehensive narratives that establish impactful and strategic recommendations. This process may or may not include Senior Team/Leader oversight.
You will be responsible for establishing, supporting, and building thriving relationships with Jr. to Sr. Level Insights, Marketing, and other cross-functional client Stakeholders. You will be responsible for mentoring, coaching, and delegating appropriate work to Associates and Sr. Associates (US and India based), and Associate Directors, sharing responsibility for their growth, development, and training roadmaps.
About you
Bachelor’s degree; advanced degree in a related field preferred.
7+ years of custom primary research experience (quantitative and mixed methods).
Prior experience managing and leading others as a people manager is a plus.
Strong analytic and storytelling skills, with ability to translate data into insights.
Expertise in a range of research methodologies, including survey design, advanced analytics, and integration of quantitative and qualitative findings.
Strong project management skills with ability to lead multiple projects simultaneously.
Experience mentoring and developing junior researchers.
Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex insights to diverse audiences including Senior level stakeholders.
Strong client management and relationship-building skills.
Proven ability to work collaboratively and lead cross-functional teams and manage relationships with external vendors.
Demonstrated curiosity, willingness to learn (learning mindset), openness to sharing, receiving, asking for, and applying feedback.
Adaptability to new methodologies and technologies in the market.
Attention to Detail: Excellent attention to detail to ensure accuracy in data collection, analysis, and reporting.
Technical Proficiency: Experience using Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
Team Player: Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment and effectively manage multiple projects while meeting deadlines.

Pay Range: $90,000.00-110,000.00
The range shown represents a grouping of relevant ranges currently in use at Material. Actual range for this position may differ, depending on location and specific skillset required for the work itself.
