This is a great opportunity to be part of one of the fastest-growing infrastructure companies in history, an organization that is in the center of the hurricane being created by the revolution in artificial intelligence.

"VAST's data management vision is the future of the market."- Forbes

VAST Data is the data platform company for the AI era. We are building the enterprise software infrastructure to capture, catalog, refine, enrich, and protect massive datasets and make them available for real-time data analysis and AI training and inference. Designed from the ground up to make AI simple to deploy and manage, VAST takes the cost and complexity out of deploying enterprise and AI infrastructure across data center, edge, and cloud.

Our success has been built through intense innovation, a customer-first mentality and a team of fearless VASTronauts who leverage their skills & experiences to make real market impact. This is an opportunity to be a key contributor at a pivotal time in our company’s growth and at a pivotal point in computing history.

The Role

VAST Data is seeking a dynamic Director of GSI & OEMs to accelerate our growth through the world’s leading Global Systems Integrators. This leader will own the strategy and execution of enabling joint OEM solutions that embed VAST into GSI-led services, platforms, and AI transformation initiatives. You will be both a strategic visionary—crafting how VAST scales through GSIs globally—and a hands-on operator—driving programs, field alignment, and measurable revenue impact.

Responsibilities

  • Define and execute the global GSI strategy, establishing VAST as the preferred data platform within services-led transformation programs.
  • Build and strengthen executive-level relationships with key GSI stakeholders to align joint investment and business objectives.
  • Partner with Product, Alliances, and Sales to co-develop OEM-ready, repeatable solutions that integrate VAST into cloud, AI/ML, and digital transformation offerings.
  • Drive go-to-market execution with GSIs, including solution packaging, enablement programs, and joint sales motions.
  • Operationalize success: build frameworks, track KPIs, and ensure consistent partner execution across geographies.
  • Represent VAST as a trusted advisor and thought leader at partner executive briefings, industry events, and solution showcases.
Requirements
  • 10+ years of experience in enterprise technology, with a focus on data infrastructure, cloud platforms, or AI ecosystems.
  • Proven ability to build, scale, and monetize strategic partnerships with GSIs (Accenture, Deloitte, TCS, Infosys, Wipro, etc.).
  • Deep knowledge of OEM and solutions-led business models, with the ability to bridge product innovation and partner delivery.
  • Executive presence, with strong communication and influence skills across C-level stakeholders.

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
