The Opportunity

We are seeking a proven Director of Field Operations to lead multi-site foodservice distribution with a focus on cost efficiency, service excellence, safety, and quality. This is a high-impact leadership role responsible for operational performance across facilities and fleets, driving measurable improvements in cost control, delivery performance, and safety culture while building scalable systems and processes.

What You’ll Deliver in Year One
  • Reduce operating costs in labor, transportation, and facilities without sacrificing service or safety
  • Achieve top-tier on-time delivery and order accuracy performance
  • Strengthen safety compliance and reduce incident rates
  • Implement standardized, scalable operating procedures across sites
  • Build a high-performing, engaged field leadership team
Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and optimize day-to-day operations across multiple distribution sites, including travel to those sites and elsewhere as needed
  • Own P&Ls for the distribution sites and work with the site leaders to develop yearly financial plans
  • Drive cost, service, safety, and quality KPIs through data-driven management
  • Create and refine operational systems, processes, and reporting tools
  • Champion a safety-first culture while maintaining food safety compliance
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure operational alignment with business goals
What We’re Looking For
  • 12+ years in distribution or field operations leadership, preferably in foodservice / perishables
  • Proven success managing multi-site operations and large teams
  • Expertise in cost control, service improvement, safety programs, and quality standards
  • Strong track record in building scalable processes and adapting to change
  • Thrives in fast-paced, entrepreneurial environments with rapid decision-making cycles
  • Deep knowledge of DOT, OSHA, HACCP, and food safety regulations
  • Bachelor’s degree in Operations, Supply Chain, or related field (MBA a plus)

This is an L6 Director role, compensation is between $160,000 - $175,000
