The Director, Enterprise Program Delivery is responsible for the successful planning, execution, and delivery of large, complex, and high-impact enterprise programs. This role builds and leads a high-performing team of program and project managers, ensuring disciplined execution across initiatives spanning digital transformation, automation, operations, and technology.

The Director oversees multi-year, multi-workstream programs requiring tight coordination across people, processes, technology, infrastructure, vendors, and business stakeholders. Success in this role depends on strong execution discipline, cross-functional leadership, and the ability to translate complex initiatives into clear plans, measurable outcomes, and value for the business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive and scale the Enterprise PMO, ensuring consistent, on-time, and on-budget delivery of strategic initiatives.
  • Lead highly complex, multi-workstream enterprise engagements spanning technology, operations, and business transformation, often executed in parallel and across multiple geographies.
  • Coordinate and integrate multiple interlinked delivery tracks to ensure aligned execution across people, process, technology, infrastructure, and third-party providers.
  • Oversee project-level customer relationships, ensuring effective communication, escalation management, and stakeholder alignment throughout program execution.
  • Recruit, mentor, and develop high-performing PMO talent and foster a collaborative, continuous-improvement mindset.
  • Drive a culture of accountability, execution excellence, and results.
  • Establish and manage robust program governance, portfolio oversight, risk management, and executive-level reporting for large, mission-critical initiatives.
  • Own end-to-end delivery of enterprise programs across automation, document processing, content management, BPM, BPO, IDP, AI, and enabling technologies.
  • Manage budgets, resources, timelines, risks, dependencies, and issues; ensure proactive mitigation and escalation.
  • Provide clear executive-level reporting on program health, progress, and outcomes.
  • Partner with business, IT, operations, and executive leadership to define scope, objectives, and delivery roadmaps.
  • Lead cross-functional initiatives involving shared services, vendors, and external partners.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
  • 10+ years of experience in program and project management, including enterprise-scale initiatives.
  • 5+ years leading an Enterprise PMO or managing managers.
  • Proven experience delivering highly complex, multi-workstream programs spanning technology, operations, infrastructure, people, and third-party providers.
  • Demonstrated success in digital transformation, automation, and technology-enabled business programs.
  • Experience managing large portfolios with significant budgets and cross-functional dependencies.
  • Strong execution mindset with exceptional cross-functional leadership and executive communication skills.
  • Expertise in program governance, portfolio management, and change management.
  • Proficiency with enterprise PM and portfolio tools (e.g., Jira, Smartsheet, ServiceNow, or similar).
  • Preferred Certifications: PMP, SAFe, ITIL, Lean Six Sigma, or equivalent

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
