Job Description

The Director of Ecommerce, NA leads Revelyst’s North America direct-to-consumer ecommerce business for the Adventure Sports platform, with responsibility for the regional brand-site channel and direct accountability for net sales, gross margin, EBITDA, customer satisfaction, and profitable growth. This role is focused on premium, non-promotional brands and protects pricing integrity and brand equity while scaling a fan-first digital experience.

The role oversees the functions that shape the consumer journey in the order fans typically experience the brand: paid acquisition and performance marketing, content and storytelling, site experience, merchandising, inventory planning, analytics, loyalty, customer retention, and financial planning. Through these teams and capabilities, the Director turns brand interest into engagement, conversion, repeat purchase, and long-term affinity.

This leader partners closely with the EMEA ecommerce counterpart and global digital partners to align roadmaps, share best practices, and create a seamless, fan-first customer journey across regions while ensuring North America execution reflects local consumer needs and business priorities.

This position reports to the VP, Global Digital ECommerce and is based in Irvine, CA.

As the Director of Ecommerce, NA you will have an opportunity to:

  • Own the North America D2C ecommerce P&L, with direct accountability for net sales, gross margin, EBITDA, customer satisfaction, and profitable growth across brand websites.

  • Develop and execute a regional ecommerce strategy that supports premium, non-promotional brand growth while protecting pricing integrity, brand equity, and the fan-first digital experience.

  • Lead the core ecommerce functions of merchandising and analytics, site experience and content, paid acquisition, performance marketing, lifecycle retention, loyalty, and financial planning.

  • Guide digital merchandising, site UX, content, storytelling, and product presentation to improve discovery, engagement, conversion, inventory sell-through and repeat purchase.

  • Direct full-funnel digital marketing strategies that drive qualified traffic, expand LTV, maintain disciplined CAC, and strengthen long-term customer relationships.

  • Partners with the EMEA ecommerce counterpart and global digital partners to align roadmaps, share best practices, standardize operating frameworks, and support a seamless global customer journey.

  • Collaborate with brand marketing, product development, supply chain, planning, finance, sales, IT, customer service, agencies, and vendors to align digital go-to-market execution with inventory, financial, and enterprise priorities.

  • Lead and develop a lean, high-performing team, using data, reporting, and performance insights to improve customer experience, optimize ROI, manage gross margin, and expand EBITDA.

You have:

  • 10+ years of progressive ecommerce leadership experience scaling D2C web operations for premium, lifestyle, outdoor, action sports, retail, or consumer brands.

  • Omnichannel or pure-play brand-site background required; marketplace and Amazon management experience is not in scope for this role.

  • Demonstrated digital P&L leadership with a rigorous focus on net sales growth, gross margin management, EBITDA expansion, and disciplined investment decisions.

  • Proven track record building brand loyalty and scaling revenue for premium or non-promotional brands that maintain pricing integrity rather than relying on constant promotional cadences.

  • Comprehensive functional leadership across merchandising, site experience, content, performance marketing, paid acquisition, retention, loyalty, analytics, and ecommerce operations.

  • Strong data fluency with the ability to use KPIs, customer segmentation, LTV, CAC, attribution, website traffic, campaign performance, inventory signals, and customer insights to inform decisions.

  • Demonstrated experience leading lean, high-performing teams and developing talent through coaching, mentorship, accountability, collaboration, and operational discipline.

  • Ability to build strong partnerships with EMEA counterparts, global digital teams, brand marketing, product development, supply chain, finance, planning, sales, IT, agencies, vendors, and technology partners.

  • Must be based in or willing to commute to Irvine, California due to the onsite leadership requirement.

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
