About Figure

Figure (NASDAQ: FIGR) is transforming capital markets through blockchain. We’re proving that blockchain isn’t just theory - it’s powering real products used by hundreds of thousands of consumers and institutions.

By combining blockchain’s transparency and efficiency with AI-driven automation, we’ve reimagined how loans are originated, funded, and traded in secondary markets. From faster processing times to lower costs and reduced bias, our technology is helping borrowers, investors, and financial institutions achieve better outcomes.

Together with our 170+ partners, we’ve originated over $22 billion in home equity loans (HELOCs) on our blockchain-native platform, making Figure the largest non-bank provider of home equity financing in the U.S. Figure’s ecosystem also includes YLDS, an SEC-registered yield-bearing stablecoin that operates as a tokenized money market fund, and several other products and platforms that are reshaping consumer finance and capital markets.

We’re proud to be recognized as one of Forbes’ Most Innovative Fintech Startups in 2025 and Fast Company’s Most Innovative Companies in Finance and Personal Finance.

About The Role

As Director, Digital Assets Financial Operations, you will own the day-to-day financial operations behind Figure’s digital asset business. In this role, you will serve as the key liaison between Accounting, Treasury, FP&A, Capital Markets, and Product, ensuring that every on-chain and off-chain movement of value is executed accurately, reconciled completely, and controlled tightly. You will build the scalable processes and controls that allow a public company to operate digital assets at institutional standards. This role can be based remotely.

What You’ll Do
  • Own day-to-day digital asset financial operations, including wallet and custody administration, transaction execution and approval workflows, settlement, and daily position monitoring
  • Own end-to-end reconciliation of digital asset activity, from on-chain data to sub-ledger to general ledger, including exchange and custodian breaks
  • Define the operational, accounting, and control requirements for new product and token launches ahead of go-live
  • Partner with Accounting to deliver an accurate and timely close for digital asset activity, including fair value measurement, cost basis, and financial statement disclosures
  • Design, document, and operate the control framework over digital assets, including SOX controls, segregation of duties, and approval thresholds
  • Serve as the primary finance point of contact for custodians, exchanges, and other counterparties
  • Build scalable systems and automation for reconciliation, reporting, and controls in partnership with Engineering and Product, incorporating AI-powered tooling where possible
  • Produce recurring reporting on digital asset positions, flows, and exposures for senior management, the board, and auditors
What We’re Looking For
  • 8-12 years of experience in financial operations, treasury, accounting, controllership, or investment banking, including 2-3 years of digital assets industry experience
  • Strong accounting foundation and command of the financial statements
  • Experience owning financial operations for digital assets, including custody, wallets, settlement, and reconciliation
  • Working knowledge of digital asset accounting under U.S. GAAP, including fair value measurement and related disclosures
  • Excellent attention to detail and a track record of building process where none exists
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with executive audiences
  • Familiarity with lending, fintech, blockchain, stablecoins, or tokenized assets a plus
  • Prior public company experience a plus
  • Track record of designing and operating control environments, including SOX, preferred
  • Adhere to all company security policies and data handling procedures.
  • Complete mandatory security awareness training within required timeframes.
  • Promptly report any suspected security incidents or suspicious activity to the Security team.

Salary

  • Base Compensation Range: $161,500-$218,500/yr
  • 25% annual bonus target, paid quarterly
  • Company equity in the form of RSUs

This is the compensation range for the role in the United States. Actual compensation may vary based on a candidate’s experience, skills, location, internal equity, and evolving business needs. While most offers are generally made within the middle of the range, final compensation is determined based on the factors above.

Benefits

  • Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision coverage, with 100% employer-paid premiums for employees and their dependents on select plans
Company HSA, FSA, Dependent Care FSA, 401(k), and commuter benefits
    Employer-paid life and disability insurance
11 observed holidays and PTO plan
Up to 12 weeks of paid family leave

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
