This is a pivotal role for a strategic, hands-on leader who will oversee the development and execution of breakthrough creative across all channels—driving a brand experience that is always “current,” distinctive, cohesive, and growth-focused.

Reporting to the VP, Brand (in the interim), you’ll manage a diverse team and work in close partnership with brand, multi-media, product marketing, e-commerce, product and UX teams to deliver high-impact, high-velocity creative. From concept to launch, you will bring big ideas to life across web, digital, social, video, packaging, retail, and beyond.

Note: while we are open to remote candidates, we have a strong preference for Los Angeles-based folks who are able to work in a hybrid schedule out of our studio in downtown LA.

Responsibilities:

  • Creative Vision: Define and drive the overarching creative direction across all brand touchpoints, ensuring alignment with business goals and long-term brand strategy
  • Cross-Media Leadership: Oversee and innovate the extension of creative concepts across diverse formats—including web, email, paid media, video, social, print, packaging, and physical environments
  • Team Leadership & Mentorship: Lead and nurture a nimble, high-performing in-house creative team by fostering a collaborative, inclusive environment, and  providing clear direction, ongoing constructive feedback, and career growth opportunities
  • Process: Assess and revise current processes to establish a standard for efficient execution of campaigns, cross-functional collaboration, and timely delivery of assets
  • Brand Stewardship: Maintain and evolve the brand’s visual identity, voice, and creative standards across all creative outputs and channels
  • Campaign Development: Concept and execute integrated marketing campaigns that elevate the brand, engage our community, and drive measurable results
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner closely with key function stakeholders like UX, Digital Product, and E-commerce to create brand-right, user-optimized experiences throughout the customer journey. Work closely to understand customer behavior and content performance to ensure the needs of the business are being met, and that content is being optimized for performance
  • Creative Integrity: Oversight of all creative outputs including photography, video and such sourcing to ensure quality, competitive distinction and creative integrity
  • Innovation & Culture: Serve as a creative culture carrier—encouraging experimentation, bold thinking, and continuous improvement within the team and the broader organization

Basic Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of progressive creative leadership experience, including at least 3–5 years in a Creative Director or Group Creative Director role
  • Proven ability to shape and lead multidisciplinary creative teams across media formats—from static to motion, digital to physical
  • Demonstrated success in leading strong, nimble teams and fostering a high-performance, high-trust culture
  • Deep knowledge of digital design, UX/UI principles, and customer-centric storytelling
  • A portfolio that reflects bold, creative thinking, strategic execution, and excellence across channels
  • Strong communicator and collaborator, able to influence executive stakeholders and rally cross-functional teams
  • Passionate about design, detail, and creating meaningful brand experiences
  • Proficiency in video conceptualization

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in fast-paced agency or high-growth DTC brand environments is strongly preferred
  • Background in fashion, lifestyle, retail, or consumer goods is a plus

U.S. Perks & Benefits:

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
