Partner with the best

You will help build and grow the technology ecosystem around the LayerX business. You will manage partner relationships, build technical integrations, and drive go-to-market motions. This hands-on role blends partnership management, technical fluency, and cross-functional execution.

As a Director, Business Development - Technology Alliances Manager, you will be responsible for:

  • Managing day-to-day relationships with a portfolio of ISV, cybersecurity, and cloud partners
  • Identifying high-value integration use cases across Zero Trust, SSE/SASE, identity, and SIEM ecosystems
  • Partnering with Product and Engineering teams to scope, prioritize, and deliver technical integrations
  • Developing joint solution briefs, co-marketing programs, and field alignment strategies
  • Collaborating with Sales and partner field teams to drive partner-sourced pipeline
  • Supporting marketplace listings and co-sell programs with major cloud providers

Do what you love

To be successful in this role you will:

  • Have 3-5 years of experience in a technology alliances / partnerships, business development, sales or solutions engineering, product management, or technical program management role
  • Have hands-on exposure to building or supporting technical integrations (e.g., REST APIs, webhooks, SDKs).
  • Possess technical aptitude and curiosity: the ability to understand cybersecurity and cloud technologies, grasp integration(APIs, telemetry, policy enforcement), and translating into clear customer use cases.
  • Be familiar with modern security ecosystems including Zero Trust, IAM, and EDR
  • Have experience working cross-functionally with product, engineering, sales, and marketing teams
  • Be knowledgeable in cloud marketplaces, browser security, or AI governance concepts

Compensation

Akamai is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. For US based candidates only - the base salary for this position ranges from $164,300 - $295,700/year; a candidate’s salary is determined by various factors including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills, certifications and location. Compensation for candidates outside the US will vary. The compensation package may also include incentive compensation opportunities in the form of annual bonus or incentives, equity awards and an Employee Stock Purchase Plan (ESPP). Akamai provides industry-leading benefits including healthcare, 401K savings plan, company holidays, vacation (in the form of PTO), sick time, family friendly benefits including parental leave and an employee assistance program including a focus on mental and financial wellness; Eligibility requirements apply.
