CrossCountry Consulting is quickly growing, and we are seeking an experienced business development professional to join our Los Angeles Team. Working closely with our Practice Leaders across Accounting Advisory, Risk Advisory, Technology-Enabled Transformation, and Transactions, you will drive new client relationships with the Office of the CFO, Private Equity sponsors, and C-suite and board-level leaders at mid-market and enterprise companies. The primary role of this position will be to generate new project opportunities by leveraging existing partnerships, networking, identifying target clients, meeting with clients, and working with our delivery teams to sell CrossCountry services. There will be travel associated with this role throughout the Los Angeles and Ventura County area as needed.

What You'll Do

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive business development strategy and process, augmenting the firm’s existing go-to-market approach, coordinating both internal and external resources to optimize CrossCountry Consulting's positioning in the market.
  • Leverage your network across the CFO, Controller, finance leadership, board, and Private Equity communities to position CrossCountry as the go-to advisory partner in the Los Angeles market.
  • Develop, nurture, and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers at target companies including C-Suite, controllers, finance leadership, board members, and COE (centers of influence).
  • Collaborate with leaders across all service lines to craft and execute targeted go-to-market strategies aligned with the firm’s relationship-centric and AI-enabled approach
  • Identify new target leads and facilitate proposing and closing new business opportunities within the Los Angeles and Ventura County markets.
  • Support the leadership team in cross-selling additional services to existing clients where appropriate
  • Collaborate with leaders across all service lines to craft and implement targeted go-to-market strategies aligned with the firm’s relationship-centric approach.
  • Proactively engage with your network, including audit partners, service providers, professional associations, and industry forums to drive business development.
  • Plan and execute unique, high-impact business development networking events.
  • Track and report on pipeline performance, providing regular updates to firm leadership on activity, opportunities, and revenue forecast

What You'll Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university, MBA, or graduate degree.
  • Exceptional, well-established professional network across the Los Angeles area — with trusted, senior-level relationships spanning the Office of the CFO, C-suite, board members, and Private Equity sponsors at mid-market and enterprise companies.
  • 10+ years of experience in business development leadership roles, with a proven track record of selling professional services in a relationship-driven approach.
  • Comfortable operating in a fast-moving, technology-enabled environment — curious about how AI and emerging solutions are reshaping the advisory landscape and the Office of the CFO.
  • Entrepreneurial spirit and excitement around building a business development process from the ground up.
  • Demonstrated ability to exceed annual revenue targets and close new business opportunities.
  • Strong history of fostering key relationships and leveraging your network to secure new opportunities.
  • Exceptional communication, leadership, relationship building, and networking skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively across teams and with all levels at the firm.
