The Director of Business Development scales Braiins’ commercial efforts to secure institutional bitcoin miners, energy partners and strategic platform customers. This is a senior, hands-on leadership role responsible for defining and executing the BD strategy, building high-impact commercial processes, closing large strategic deals, and growing total hashrate under management.
This person represents Braiins at industry events, partners tightly with the CCO, product, engineering, legal and finance to convert market feedback into differentiated commercial offerings, and directly manages the BD team to deliver predictable, repeatable revenue and pipeline growth.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree (Business, Engineering, Finance, or related)
5+ years of BD/sales/partnership experience, ideally in bitcoin mining, energy, hardware, cloud/infra, or enterprise SaaS
2+ years of people-management experience with a track record of hiring, coaching, and scaling BD or sales teams
Proven ability to close complex, enterprise deals (six-figure to multi-million dollar deals)
Strong commercial & contract negotiation skills (pricing, SLAs, partner agreements)
Deep understanding of the bitcoin mining ecosystem (major players, machines, firmware, pools, hashrate economics) and energy markets (demand response, ISO’s, etc)
Experience owning CRM processes (FreshSales or Salesforce proficiency preferred)
Excellent executive presentation and stakeholder management skills
Ability to travel frequently to mining sites, partners, and conferences (25-50% travel).
Strong written and verbal communication, time management, and ability to perform in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment.
Responsibilities
Work with the CCO to set the BD strategy and annual targets for product and enterprise customer growth; translate strategy into quarterly plans and team goals.
Lead, hire, and develop a high-performing BD team
Own full sales cycle for strategic accounts with all Braiins products: prospecting, technical and commercial diligence, negotiation, contracting, and onboarding.
Build and maintain executive relationships with major miners, operators, hosting providers, energy counterparties, and strategic partners.
Partner with Product & Engineering to incorporate market feedback into product roadmaps and to ensure successful customer onboarding and ongoing product adoption.
Lead and assist with complex negotiations (long-term service contracts, reseller/channel agreements, JVs, and MOUs).
Monitor competitive landscape and market trends; identify new verticals, geographies, and other opportunities.
Identify and evaluate strategic partnership, JV, and M&A opportunities
Travel to client sites and industry events to represent Braiins publicly and gather competitive/customer intelligence.
