Director, Brand Marketing and Content - Capital One Auto
Capital One Auto is seeking a consumer-centric and data-driven Director to lead the Consumer Brand Marketing and Content Strategy for the Auto business. This role is responsible for defining and leading the brand positioning for a suite of consumer Auto products and overseeing the development and execution of product marketing campaigns across direct-to-consumer channels. This leader will manage a team of associates, and work in partnership with business, design and tech teams to drive business growth, managing high-impact campaigns.

What You'll Do
  • Develop & Execute Brand Strategy: Lead the brand vision, positioning, and messaging, ensuring alignment with business objectives and market opportunities.
  • Lead Integrated Marketing Campaigns: Oversee cross-channel campaigns that drive customer acquisition and engagement across direct-to-consumer touchpoints (email, direct mail, display, SEM, etc.).
  • Strengthen Brand Identity: Ensure consistency in brand voice, visual identity, and storytelling across all customer touchpoints.
  • Enhance Customer Experience: Collaborate with product, analysts, design and customer service teams to ensure the brand experience is seamless, engaging, and customer-focused.
  • Leverage Data & Insights: Use analytics and customer insights to inform marketing strategies and optimize performance.
  • Manage Stakeholders: Manage multiple stakeholder relationships and ensure strong collaboration across lines of business and cross-functional teams.
  • Lead & Inspire a High-Performing Team: Build, mentor, and manage a team of brand marketers and content managers.

What You'll Bring
The ideal Candidate will have:
  • Experience in brand marketing, with a proven track record in the financial services, fintech, auto, or digital product industries.
  • A strong strategic mindset with the ability to translate business goals into impactful brand initiatives.
  • A high level of adaptability and resilience, with the ability to manage priorities and executive-level requests while maintaining strategic focus.
  • Expertise in multi-channel marketing-from digital and content marketing to traditional acquisition.
  • A data-driven approach with experience leveraging analytics, customer insights, and market research to drive decisions.
  • Leadership skills that inspire-experience managing teams, fostering innovation, and collaborating cross-functionally at all levels.
  • Exceptional storytelling and communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Experience working with internal creative teams and agencies to execute high-quality campaigns.
  • B2C marketing experience preferred.

Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree or military experience
  • At least 10 years of experience in Brand, Marketing, or Communications
  • At least 5 years of people management experience

Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's degree in Marketing, Communications or Business
  • 3+ years of experience in direct marketing and brand management in a Business to Consumer (B2C) environment
  • 3+ years of experience in financial services or auto industry
  • 7+ years of people management experience
  • 11+ years of experience in Brand, Marketing, or Communications

The minimum and maximum full-time annual salaries for this role are listed below, by location. Please note that this salary information is solely for candidates hired to perform work within one of these locations, and refers to the amount Capital One is willing to pay at the time of this posting. Salaries for part-time roles will be prorated based upon the agreed upon number of hours to be regularly worked.
Plano, TX: $187,300 - $213,700 for Director, Brand
Candidates hired to work in other locations will be subject to the pay range associated with that location, and the actual annualized salary amount offered to any candidate at the time of hire will be reflected solely in the candidate's offer letter.
This role is also eligible to earn performance based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonus(es) and/or long term incentives (LTI). Incentives could be discretionary or non discretionary depending on the plan.
